I love the way Matthew did a background of fall colors. He's more playful with the tree. His tree actually has pictures of scary things which is often associated with the fall cause of Halloween. The tree has a perfect circle around where one would see leaves. On the branches he has cleverly arranged more trademark of fall. He doesn't want us to forget the other seasons of the year by making the bacground of colors of more vibrant times of the year, maybe spring but definitely summer. I like Matthews artwork because he puts so much effort into what might be an ordinary fall tree. And I like that he uses a lot to be developed by appreciating art. Good job Matthew -- Nana

This is great! It kind of fools the mind. When you first look at it I felt calm because the colors are quiet. Further looking at it I see the pointed drawings with nice color shading but the points aren't peaceful. It's an art that I would go back to. I need to discover more about this painting by meditating on it -- Nana
