Although it took me some time to appreciate the reference, this piece is clearly a meditation on Matisse's La Danse. Despite the fact that my dear darling eschews the use of a blue-green background, her evocation of the primitive art movement through structure and shape is evident. There is also the use of the bright, expressive colors of Matisse's Fauvist period. Also, I note the circular, rhythmical placement of the figures. Simply outstanding.

In this great work I see that my dear darling is exploring abstract expressionism through use of the drip technique popularized by Jackson Pollock. Her mastery of the form is evident in her confident pour structure, the primacy use of earth tones to ground the viewer and the composition of the canvas. The kinetic energy is quite palpable. A bold statement from a budding genius.

My dear darling's unique artistic vision is very apparent in this stunning piece. Her yellows are reminiscent of Van Gogh's sunflowers. Her canvas composition is uncompromising. Her imagination unparalleled. Her nascent genius is beyond comprehension.
