Wow, you sure nailed it, especially the eye--highlights and eyelids. Sylvester would be really proud of you for this one.

I LOVE both of your sketches! This one looks so real with it’s sensitive eye gazing off into the distance. It gives me hope for a joyful spring.

This City is brighter and happier than any I have ever been in. You should plan the "City of Joy" and submit it for proposal to a City Planning department. I love the bright array of color.

Anja, you are like that bright white center of your work of art, a shining, twinkling, star bursting with joy for all to behold in the quiet of the night. Love you!

Did you choose green because that is a new favorite color or did you discover that green is a new favorite color through this experience? I am interested in learning more about this awesome work of art! -- Joan

Anja, you did such a great job making these figures "in motion"! The last one looks to be running REALLY fast. Maybe she is chasing her puppy? Or running into the house for a fresh hot cookie? And the first figure appears to be jumping for joy! -- Mama

Anja, this owl is so "alive"! It looks like it is coming in for a landing at Hogwarts. You did a beautiful job shaping and glazing it to make it come to life. -- Mama

Anja, this is so beautiful! I love the contrast of the bright blue background and the tan vase or pot! The shadows really add perspective and I am so proud of your hard work creating the patterns of the vase and recreating the small black pot at home. Love, Mama -- Joan

This is beautiful, Anja! I like that you chose fewer snowflakes. It gives me the feeling that I am out walking on a still, chilly, night. The only sounds are those of my own thoughts tumbling aimlessly through my mind, and the swishing of the arms of my crispy jacket brushing briskly against the equally crispy sides of that same coat. -- Joan

Anja, This is stunningly beautiful to me! I love the visible action of the pumpkin rolling down the hill and the depth of the pumpkin patch. Also, the deep, dark, late fall sky sends a little shiver of cool air down my spine. Thank you for the experience! Love, Mama -- Joan
