Truly a masterpiece. Capturing both the spirit of the Pop-art and Surrealist movements, one cannot help but consider that this tortilla infused work may be the result of a romantic encounter between Andy Warhol and René Magritte. Not since Elvis-on-black-velvet has we seen such a new approach to art. I deed, the Hermès Style Book would slap the leather stitched cigarette holder from its own pouty mouth for the chance to sell the headphones from the subjects head. If the Mona Lisa was regaled as the beginning of a smile, this is a work so fresh, it should be considered the beginning of a heartburn.

This is wonderful. I love the "spirit animal" that seems to protect your young woman. You have a great mastery of the human form: proportions are perfect, movement created with her arms and legs and the tiger tail. Excellent job, Josie!

This is excellent. Perspective is so hard for me...you will have to give me a lesson! Good Job!

Excellent approach to the one point perspective challenge! Your idea to change the concept to a farm is unique and shows your ability to listen to your instincts as an artist. :) Ms. Beatrice
Very clever! I love that fun pop art era and have done some pop art portraits lately. Keep making art! I ordered art supplies backpacks with your winking dog face and Charlotte's portrait art for my great niece and nephew for Christmas. I will fill them with art supplies. They will love your art!

I truly love this Picasso-like painting. Vibrant colors. Interesting shapes. Intriguing choice to leave negative white space to tell your story. Very nice work.

This is one of my favorites of all your beautiful art work. I'm going to try some implied lines art myself. Very clever device. I I sure like the red fox as well. Good job, Josie.

I really love this pastel. I have been doing figurative abstracts lately and you have given me the idea of including letters in my work, too. How nice it will be to have your own portfolio of work at the end of the year with this beautiful cover art! Great job, Josie!

Loved your penguin! Your technique for rendering snow is excellent. We have been painting snow scenes in my art class and it is hard to paint snow. You have done a great job. The penguin has a lot of personality with those eyes and that Santa cap. Great job, Josie!

Hi, Josie: This is a truly special piece of art. I love painting feathers, too. Your color choice is perfect as it reflects the natural world of Native Americans who used feathers so prominently in their culture. Your line work is especially good--balance, variety, precision in execution. I like the mirror image effect. Great work!
