Hi Max,
Excellent craftsmanship and coloring on your version of our school mascot, CHAMP! The Middleton shirt and paw print make it extra special and are such great details that represent our school!
Keep creating,
:) Ms. Beatrice

Awwww. You know I love these smooshy faced dogs, Max, and you really gave the face personality. You have such a good eye for details - like the eyes have that little white speck where light might reflect, and the little peek of the tongue. Love the paw print with the upside down heart too. You sure have a knack for art!
- Grandma D on June 17, 2020

Wow Max. This looks like a pro did it. Love it!
- Grandma D on June 17, 2020
I hope you feel like a proud artist! Your drawing of the Statue of Liberty has the same shape and color as the real one in New York. The eyes and smile make it look like a cartoon style. It's neat to draw a piece of history! Have you thought about adding a background?
Keep creating,
:) Ms. Beatrice

Very creative piece, Max. Love the color combinations. Using my imagination I see a person or mask in the pink part, parts of city buildings, parts of countryside, parts of animals. Lots of possibilities from just one line and lots of colors. You really have an artist’s touch.
- Grandma D on May 20, 2020
This is a wonderful example of abstract art! It looks like something you'd see in an art gallery! Sometimes abstract art represents things from real life and sometimes it’s just the shapes, colors, and designs. You chose a variety of patterns and colors for each shape!
Keep creating,
:) Ms. Beatrice

Wow, Max - this artwork looks like a professional comics artist created it! It's beautiful and certainly reflects how excited you will be when quarantine ends. That is certainly understandable. Until then, enjoy staying safe at home and keep up the good art work.
- Grandma D on May 13, 2020
Hi Max,
Your rainbow looks very bright above the clouds! You added your own smiley faces which makes yours completely unique (there aren't any others like it!).
Keep creating,
:) Ms. Beatrice

Wasn't it fun learning how to fold a room from just ONE piece of paper? Thank you for sharing! :) Ms. Beatrice
- Michelle (teacher at John Middleton Elementary School (1-5)) on April 13, 2020
What a fun project, Max. When I was in fourth grade we used to make miniature houses for troll dolls out of cardboard boxes. Some were like mansions with two floors and everything. Then we'd make furniture out of paper and cardboard and stuff too. I bet you could make a whole Pokemon house like that too. I don't understand Pokemon very much but I love the red wall in your house ;-) Keep having fun and being creative.
- Grandma D on April 15, 2020

Oh my gosh, Maximoso. I love this! You really have a great artist's eye. This is awesome. Have fun using the mask in your play. Maybe I will get to see a little video clip.

This picture is so neat, Max. The sky looks so clear and the snow is falling so pretty. The trees have lost all their leaves so you can tell it is winter. I bet the sky looked clear like this when you were watching stars in the fall. I really enjoy seeing your art.

Great work Max. You have so much detail that it actually looks 3-D, especially with the jagged teeth and black inside the mouth. Did you know that when they call someone a "green eyed monster" it means they think the person is jealous. Is your monster jealous with his green eyes?

Max this monster is sooooo cool! It looks like a creature that would rise out of the ocean to try and snatch me! Great job :)

This is awesome Max!! I love the squiggly line details in the monster': eyes and the colors you used for your monster. It makes me think of a sock monster!

I love this picture, Max! The apples look so real and I love the white areas that show the reflection of light. You mixed a nice orange color for the pumpkin. I like your background too. It sets off the colors of the fruits nicely. Good job Maximoso!
