Dear Joseph, Hi its Mama! The picture is so to the 'point' and doesn't waste time - it is very intense and perfect. The fact that you drew the orange lines going down and that you didn't color it all in (the open space between the lines gives it the illusion that the lines are separate), makes it look like the symbolism of the characters 'shirt' is an actual jail bars. And that you made his face 'blah' was so appropriate. The truth is that your gift of showing movement and perfect positioning in the shovel and the part of sand that if flowing off the shovel is incredible. And that the hole is of the same color of the sand- so easy to see and its really called "clean art". Art is so many things- and you have captured the real heart of the message! I love you!
