I really like your stamp artwork, Harper. The letters seem to float on the page twirling in every direction. How did you choose the letters you used? I see "K" for Kristen and Katy and "W" for Will. That will please them! Good job, sweet pea!

Harper Jane, terrific artwork by you using charcoal on sand paper. I like how thick and dark the charcoal is in part of the drawing and then how it fades to just a light smudge in another part. Nice technique, young lady. Love you bunches.

Yay! Another collage! Harper Jane, your collage is super terrific and very interesting. Thank you for introducing me to Henri Matisse's scissors-and-paper cutouts. I think he would really like how you cut out and pasted your very own "Icarus." I know you like using scissors, so this art project must have been especially enjoyable for you. By the way, do you know that there are two Matisse paintings in St. Louis? One is at Washington University's Kemper Art Museum and the other is at the St. Louis Art Museum. Shall we go see these paintings sometime and you can tell me all about Henry Matisse? Love you.

Harper Jane - Your artwork continues to be colorful and impressive. . I like the different shades of blue and the contrast of the gold and pink. And the human form is very well done. Man and Woman catching the moonbeams and stardust. Very good. Keep it up.

Another collage! That's terrific, Harper Jane, and so is your man made from leaves. I like how you used leaves with different shapes and sizes to make the body of the leaf man. Is the large brown leaf from a maple tree? It looks very much like the leaves you collected from the maple tree in Hoo Hoo's front yard. I look forward to your next art work posting. Love, Peggy

Harper Jane, that is one big, red fire truck. I like your drawing of the fireman in the fire truck. How did you like working with construction paper on this collage art project?

Harper Jane, your artwork is "blue-tiful!" Get it? :O) You did such a fine job showing some of the different shades of blue found in the ocean waters. You painted a very nice home for the colorful fish, all 11 of them. Hey, do I see Flounder among them? I anxiously await your next piece of art. Love, Peggy

Buttermilk and chalk? Who knew! A very interesting technique, Harper Jane. I really like your drawing and the pretty colors you chose. Might I ask: Does your drawing smell like buttermilk? Love, Peggy

For the first art project of the new school year, I think Harper Jane is off to a great start. I like the bold strokes, and, of course, her two favorite colors: purple and pink. I must say how excited I am that her art work will be posted on a regular basis. This is cool!
