Hey, how did I miss this one? I love this. Looks like the cover of a really fun book. Now you will have to write a story to go with it. Love you Marlena!

This is neat - a candy dish made out of pieces of candy and gumballs. How ever do you think of these creative ideas?!
- Grandma Mary on March 11, 2020
Marlena, This is a very interesting bowl. I like it a lot. It reminds me of a bowl that Grand-ma Mary has only hers has a lid on it. You will have to ask her about it the next time you visit. Good work girl friend. Love, Grand-pa Steve.

Marlena, I think this is one of your most beautiful piece of art so far. I love the bright colors that were placed in the baloons. I was just curious if this was Toolio in the picture. If it is, then those must have been very large baloons in order to get him off the ground. Love you and love your work. Keep it up. Love you, Grand-pa.

Very interesting art work. It's really pretty. You’re going to have to explain to me how you did this. I love the way the leaves look silver. Talk to you soon. Love you, Grand-pa Steve

Marlena, the blending of colors here is wonderful. You are a talented artist. I love all the different leaves you chose; Gingo leaves, Pin Oak, Maples. So pretty. Love your color choices!

Ya know Marlena, when I first looked at this piece of art that you did, I thought it was a picture of your brother in a costume. But his eyes weren't quite right. Good job. Very Scary. Keep up the good work. Love, Grandpa Steve

Marlena. When I first looked at this piece of art, I couldn't figure out what this might be. And then it hit me. It's a cow in a large field. No. I'm just kidding. It's a big blue bird with a Christmas stocking, looking for somewhere to hang it. The only problem with this bird is that his beak is where one of his ears should be. I guess when he tweets, he tweets out of the side of his head. Go figure. Yes, I know what this piece of art is supposed to be and I think you did a wonderful job of it. Keep up the great work. Love, Grand-Pa Steve
- Steven on January 29, 2020
Hi Marlena, This is definetly a Picasso! His eyes are on the wrong side of his head just like Pablo Picasso would have done. Your blending of colors is very pretty and the textured backround reminds me of some spaghetti stuck to your picture. Nice job! Looking forward to seeing more of your creations. Love you Bunches

Marlena, I have been looking at your piece of art for a long time, trying to think of something snappy to put in the comments. I cannot come up with anything to say other than I was very impressed with this piece of art. I stared at it and it took my thoughts to summer. I don't know why. You are going to have to explain to me how you did this. I think it is one of your best oopieces so far. Keep up the great work. Love, Grand-Pa Steve

This looks like a book cover for a very funny story. Maybe "The Night the Giraffe Danced" or something funny like that. Your night sky is so pretty. The giraffes markings are so real looking too.

Marlena, I think it was a great idea to incorporate a story into your art work. Looking at your dancing giraffe I can almost hear the music that she is dancing too. I also can feel the night around the dance because of the way you did the dark sky, moon and field that the danced happened in. Great job. Grand-Pa Steve.

Marlena, At first I thought that we were going to play checkers, but then I read a little further and found out that this was one of your art projects. Very Nice job. I really like the colors in this project. The colors and paterns made me a little sleepy, so I took a nap. Thanks for sharing with me. Love, Grand-pa Steve

So tell me Marlena, Is this leaf bowl functional or decorative. I think this project was most interesting. I would like to try eating my cheerios out of this leaf bowl sometime. I don't think I would be able to use much milk. It looks like it was fun to create. Nice job. Grand-pa Steve.

Marlena, This is your best work yet. I love looking at your art work from school. I think this might be a turtle. I really think it's neat the way that every part of the turtle is done differently. I'm not sure how you accomplished this but it is wonderful. Keep up the good work. Grand-pa Steve

Hurray for the Red, White and Blue. You need to add a flag pole to your flag art and wave it in a Memorial Day Parade. It will be the most unique flag there. Love how you layered your design for so much visual interest!

OK Marlena, I'm thinking that this is a pinch pot that looks like a bowl of potatoes with beef along side and a ring of lettuce in a bowl for my supper. Marlena, These look a lot like the mittens I lost a couple of years ago. I think you did a great job on this piece of art. Good color choices also. You know what else these mittens remind me of? Some cookies that Grand-Ma Mary made earlier this year. The cookies had the same decorations on them with the swirlies and the stars and the pipeing. Good job Marlena. P.S. Have you seen my mittens?

Happy Halloween Marlena, This reminded me of Halloween when your Mom was a little girl like you. We got our pumpkins all lined up and ready to be carved into Jack-O-Lanterns. We would eat dinner which was always spaghetti and meat balls. We would finish dinner and than carve our pumpkins and put them on the front porch, get our costumes on and go trick or treating than come home and count up our loot. Oh! the wonderful memories you have reminded me of this season. Thank you for the wonderful art. Keep up the great work, Love, Grand-Pa Steve

Thanks Marlena, Thank you for having this wonderful piece of art forwarded to me at home. I enjoy looking at your fine work all the time. I'm glad that you think about me while your creating these fine pieces of art. This one is especially nice because of the time of year it represents. Halloween! It's not really scary but it's nice because I don't think I have ever seen pumpkins this color. I think I have seen a green and orange pumpkin but not a pink and green one. The green one is Grand-Ma Mary's favorite color. She will be happy to see this light green pumpkin. I am going to forward this picture to Grand-Ma Mary's computer. I know she will like it a lot.
