Selah, this owl is SOOO cool! I love the iel's eyes and the different colors of the layers of feathers. I also think it is so neat how you made it look like night time with the stars and little moon. This abstract is ABSOLUTELY fabulous! The layering of color along with the stark black lines really makes all the colors and designs POP! For some reason, it makes me think of a cheeseburger or lasagne! Then again, it also reminds me of ancient rocks, of layers of different colors of stone and sediment (it's called stratification) just like a very special rock that I have. I love the overlapping of colors, too, bright colors and deeper colors punctuated by the different styles of lines, the straight, the wiggly, the swooping and the jagged ones. Wow, what incredible, natural talent you have Selah! I love the way you captured the expression of this beautiful girl's face, with her head tilted, her eyes looking up full of joy and her dynamic smile- she looks like YOU! The way the lines fall, in her hair, in shadow, and your brilliant use of colors takes my breath away. I love how you drew her little ears, with her hair falling behind them and down her back.
