That is a very cute lamb!

Syd, you did really well at getting the look of the lamb's fur. When I look at it it's almost like I can feel it. And the eyes are really piercing. You always seemed to have a soft spot for lambs. It's no wonder you decided to do your project on this choice of animal. Nice job, as usual. Can't wait to see what you do next.

I really like these gemstones! They are very realistic. You could just reach out and pick them up. Especially the emerald!!

Syd, your artwork almost always causes me to learn something new -- that's a good thing. I had heard of the Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) but had not heard about sugar skulls. That seems like a really interesting and tasty tradition. And it was cool that you could bring Frida theme into the work. Very nice!

I like this art work. It is like looking at clouds - you can use your imagination to see different animals and people in it. I see a horse standing there in the bottom left! Keep up the great work!

What an interesting and complicated looking piece! Being your Grandpa has been very educational for me. Just today I had to look up Zentangle online and learn what that was. And I read what your teacher said about the steps in making this. It sounds really complicated. You did a great job, as usual.

I really, really like your solar system!! Very cool that you are combining science and art!
-- Grandma

Nice solar system!! Very pretty and realistic looking! Your solar system has 10 planets. The solar system of the earth has 8 planets now, but when your dad was your age, there were actually 9! That was the case until they kicked Pluto out of the planet club :(

Nice toucan! Your bird looks like it should be friends with my parrot, Spike, who is also from the jungle :)

I am not a bird expert, but I think this is a Toucan. The big beak with he black color near the end and the white bib below the beak and eyes. Great job, Sydney. I am sure that bird is happy with the picture you made of him (or her). Another great picture from nature. Grandpa

I really like your collage of shapes. I like the colors you chose and that you spread the colors out and arranged the shapes so that pink is on the left side and then you placed another pink shape on the right side. Purple was at the top , in the middle, and in the bottom. You did an excellent job!

What a fantastic dino! If she wasn't a girl, I'd call her Barney.
-- Uncle Kevin
- on February 16, 2017
Great work, Sydney. That is one big dinasaur -- very tall, able to eat from a tree. The blue sky and sun in the background are a very nice touch but still don't distract from the big Mrs. Blue with her nice crown. I really enjoy seeing your work.

First of all. Great job! Loved that you got all four legs in picture, and best of all, it's the first time I have ever heard of a dinosaur with a feminine pronoun. You are the new generation of women with power. I am so proud of you.

Talking to you on the phone tonight reminded me that I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing this big blue shape monster. You put in so many different shapes like a diamond, rectangles, trapazoids, and stars. And the colors are really cool. That pinkish stuff coming out of its head is a great touch. Grandma thought that I had not noticed the earrings. How could I miss those, with the star and pink bangles. Wow! keep up the good work.

Wow, that is one colorful creature. I hope I am right in thinking it is an octopus, based on its shape and its eight arms. Whatever it is, it's very pretty. We are looking forward to seeing more of your artwork. Keep up the good work. Grandpa
