Very clever to reverse white and black as the image moves around. Good marketing picture and still easily read. Simple to use this as cars speed along in front of a business. People don’t pick up a lot of carefully drawn and crammed together images. Objective in signs is to have some potential customer remember what you have to offer. You using a trick that doubles the eyeball recognition is great. Good picture. Congratulations.

Really nice piece of art. Madelyn, this is really a great piece of art. Some thing that could be used by a magazine or a commercial or an ad in a magazine to sell a product. One of grandma and my friends got a degree in medical art in Chicago but I can’t remember the name of the school. I think it was the same school that your mom got her masters degree in education. This shows an inert Challenge that you may have at your young age. I hope this is a positive thing for you. You’re a great Madelyn.

That is truly a piece of art. Madelyn, you should be a commercial artist drawing pictures of products. One of mom and mine friends took Art classes at a college in Chicago but I can’t remember the name. She was drying and photographing medical products and different types of pictures that would emphasize the body. Unfortunately she passed away at a very young age, relative to grandma and me. She lived in the Denver area but we knew her from Chicago. I really liked the drawing of the ice cream cone. “I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream”. Really nice use of shading. How did you draw ?? this. Grandpa ?? :-)

That is really cute. You are a very smart young lady. When I was your age, we would have said you made a small cigarette ash tray. Of course it could be a similar title today as a cigarette chopper :-)

Hi Madelyn, this picture made me laugh. It reminds me of the Sunday newspapers comics. Looks like you could make money as an illustrator. Start now! Berta went to college with cartoonist and the person that filled in the drawings. Accentuating your head, having a cockeyed smile and the color wheel at your feet was a clever addition. Good job. Love, Grandpa :-)

‘Eat your honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to your taste.’ I like your yummy art work. It reminded me of a high school coffee house, “The Purple Cow”, in Beverly where even the salt was purple. Love, Grandpa :-)

I think this is a darling name for a sloth. Each of us that look can decide if Sandy is a she or he. I like the color so Sandy can creep through the forest unnoticed. The face with the white eyes show how Sandy can look all over the forest floor. Very nice Madelyn.

I need to read your notes. Looks like it has born and died. Like the artwork. Feel you were trying to send a serious message. Sort of like the Chagal in the loop with all the tiles. Very nice.

Madelyn, that looks like it took a lot of work. Very clever the way each is biting the next tail. Is this a character I should know or something you have created? You go girl!

I love your words and their artisticness. I do like how you made your eyebrow your name too. Keep up all of your creativity and passion for art! Love, Mom

Art is such a personal thing, Madelyn. All the background positive things and then the black outline of your face is dramatic and such a good idea. Now, if you ever decide to tattoo your name where your eyebrow should be, that would be different. Not needed. The single eye with your name over it is striking. I like this drawing by you, sweetheart. Of course I love you and am so happy that you are doing these drawings. All my love and hugs, Grandpa :-)

Bold look with bold colors. Each object is in balance with the entire work of art.

I think the spiders complete the artwork, as do the caps lines. All the light colors give the art a sweet morning look.

Very nice colors melding and theme. So happy to see this from you.

Very nice Madelyn, it is a weave pattern or could it be a checkerboard? I see a weave. Maybe the start of a pot holder? Maybe the start of a wicker basket?
