Have you used watercolors much on your own? One of the things you best caught about Choe is his use of layers & transparency. This is a wonderful piece. You were very careful and methodical and yet it looks very spontaneous and fluid.

This is lovely, but for practice sake, you really may want do do another one (for your sketchbook or extra credit) where you look at the petals or leaves, not just the (are these the branches or the hair-like things coming off of the branches?

Makenzie took Rodrigue's Blue Dog and turned it orange, then cut it into a pumpkin to make a jack-o-lantern, only her pumpkin is blue. Great use of complementary colors.

Outstanding contour drawing, great observation. If anything, some of the shapes could've been more simplified & stylized. Be that as it may, great repetition of shapes to break up the background and wonderful, bright color scheme. Definitely has the harmony which the directions called for.
