Dear Jack, I am excited about your shield as it shows what you are most passionate about - cars and hockey. I can tell you took time to create the logo’s on the shield, creating a very powerful center of interest. The red, yellow and black on white really pop so my eye looks long and hard at this area. Just as using color and shape for strength in art work, so too in writing you use strong descriptive words to express meaning and your ideas. One is always learning and I love to see you try hard to expand your abilities. Great work!!!

There are so many cool things going on in this picture. You put so much detail in it - you must have worked very hard. Can you guess what my favorite part is? Okay, I'll tell you: the palm tree! It makes me remember our wonderful vacation. I can still see you sitting out by the pool underneath the rustling palm trees.

Jack, What a great picture! I can see the water with the fish, the boats, and then the hot air balloons flying over them in front of the mountains. Jack, This drawing reminds me of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece that your mom and I saw on vacation. I love the details in the triangle part and the columns. Jack, This is such an amazing drawing of the lighthouse and island. It reminds me of a lighthouse I once saw in North Carolina. I think it was called the candy cane lighthouse because of the stripes on it. You are always so good about putting some much detail into your pictures. Jack, This picture reminds me that winter is upon us and that it is starting to get cold out and all the leaves will be disappearing from all the trees. This is such an amazing waterfall. The lighter blue color at the bottom of the falls looks exactly like the mist that is created when the water hits the bottom of the falls.
