Hi Dexter, What a wonderful pinch pot you made! Did you have a good time making the pot? Glazes are interesting, don't you think; you paint on chalky, pale colors and the kiln changes them into glassy, bold colors. Love, Aunt Susie

The circles look like Kirbys dancing with the fall leaves. And yet still we wonder, Who, exactly, is Kirby? Dex, I love the contrast between the cool blue background and the fiery colors of the leaf.
-- Aunt Jenny
Posted 10 years ago
Oh man, I love grapes! That bowl of fruit is bursting with color and tastiness. And the background is intriguing. It gives me more to think about.

The colors in this painting are blowing my mind. I love the bright blue and the rich green. I don't know who the person is, but I really want to be his or her friend. Can I call him (or her) or send a message via carrier pigeon? Could also do a fax or smoke signal.

This looks so lively! It's as if a big wind came up to toss everything around, but it wasn't a tornado or a hurricane. It was a friendly wind that was like, "Hey, I'm here to blow you around a little bit. Don't worry—I'm not going to hurt you, unless you want me to, though you probably don't. If you do want me to, that's cool, but I don't think I can. I'm a gentle wind."
-- Jenn
Posted 10 years ago
Very nice expression on the very nice pumpkins face.

Posted 10 years ago
I love the beautiful tree and leaves. Especially the colors of the painted leaves.
-- Janet
Posted 10 years ago
I like the long shape of the jack-o'-lantern and how the orange color fills up most of the page. And though the jack-o'-lantern is smiling, the eyes looks kind of sinister. It's scary in the best way.
-- Jenn

This artwork is so cool it's hot. I love how the black lines tilt and create a grid of uneven shapes. And the marks of the crayon look totally wild. Dexter is Mondrian. Or is Mondrian Dexter?
-- Jenn
Posted 10 years ago
I love how the shapes overlap and the contrast between the bright blue and red and the darker brown and black.
