I love this mixed media example of a Hawaiian fishing expedition. The seascape and landscape portions are serene in color and line. The boat and the "catch" are vivid and energetic, bringing attention to the life sustaining activity practiced through generations! Great picture, Turner.

Did you know that Romare Bearden is one of my favorite 20th century artists? His technique has been captured wonderfully in your decoupage! His work also depicted important social themes and was a significant part of the Harlem Renaissance. Someday, my dear grandson, you will make a significant contribution to the world as you are talented in so many areas, including art. Believe in youself.
