The contrast of bright and dark colors attracts a viewer for a closer look. The white foam in small strokes gives movement to the picture. Makes me feel like a storm is coming in that purple cloud layer. Really enjoy looking at this one.

What a good drawing of a tree! The bark shows some texture and the branches are formed in a natural way. In Minnesota we have a lot of trees looking like this now that the leaves have fallen. I think Avery paid a lot of attention to detail in creating this picture. -- Martha
