You used bold, dramatic colors in this artwork, Braden, and you gave this chicken some "serious" tail feathers. He looks to be a confident specimen of the yard.

Very Picasso like art work. Is this a self portrait? I see the redish hair draped over the brow and the contained expression that reminds me of my grandson. I like the colors -- not the usual primary colors -- and the shadow gives your piece depth. Good job, my favorite boy!

I like the rich colors, the variety of shapes and the spatial placement you gave them. I like looking at this picture; it has energy, depth of color and design. Good job, grandson! Love, Nana

Your image of a child or woman with an exotic headdress (and is that a nose piercing?) has an expressive face. Her large eyes are riveted on something or someone and her mouth seems to show that what she's seeing or hearing is puzzling, unexpected or distasteful to her. You've given your image emotion and I can imagine her coming to life, moving and talking. I'm wondering what inspired you. Nana

This drawing looks like some of Picasso's work, Braden. I like the smile on the cat's face. This is a joyful drawing with energy and bright colors that convey happiness. I like your cat! Love, Nana

Your robot looks like he is happy and energetic. He shows excitement with his raised arms. I like the colors your chose and you used a variety of color to make this a lively piece of artwork. Nice job. -- Nana Joyce

This drawing you made connects me to the world I see around me. You represented the curves of the land, sunlight, tree roots, etc. beautifully. You created a lot of shape and lines in this work and chose nice colors. Keep drawing and creating lovely pictures. -- Nana Joyce

Wow! You drew a better fox when you were in the 3rd grade than I can draw now. You got the shape of his head and ears and bushy tail quite nicely. Did you know I saw a fox on my mountain one day? Good art work, Braden. -- Nana Joyce

This is an interesting house and a nice piece of art work. I like the dimension it has and can imagine a house like this with someone living in. I suppose the big brother lives in the room with the window that is higher than that of his little sister. I like that this house has a big door that invites lots of company to come in. It looks as if someone built this house for the family and the house likes where it is so much that it has settled in to stay, leaning just a little to the right side. It has an inviting chimney, too, that tells me this house is warm inside. The colors are especially nice. I like this house. -- Nana Joyce

This is a very interesting guy -- not someone you might see everyday. I like him. He is very colorful and he has red hair and at least one blue eye. My grandson has 2 blue eyes and that is even better. This art is something I enjoy looking at. It reminds me of some of the work done by Pablo Picasso, a very famous artist. I saw some of his original art in a museum when I lived in Chicago. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your art work. You seem to have artistic talent. -- Nana Joyce

You made a very appealing winter snow globe, Braden. I can imagine being inside this scene. You made it realistic by creating elevation change in the ground and by choosing to make each of your trees a little different in shape. I like, too, that the snowfall is thicker in some places than others, as it usually is. The winter moon reigns over the scene and I like the glow you created outside the snow globe. It makes me think of the action we get when we shake a snow globe. Your art reminds me of a famous artist's work called Starry Night. It was painted by Vincent Van Gogh. Good work, grandson! -- Nana Joyce

I like it! The use of shades of the same color create a pretty artistic expression of earth and sky. -- Heather
