Lots of bright colours here Sophie, giving plenty of contrast!

There are some good pastel colours here Sophie, with black and brown for contrast. I can see some inspiration for the animals from your own dogs!

Sophie, I am very impressed by the way you build the picture of the unicorn by adding segments of its body until it has been completed. I wish I had known about that technique when I was young! It's a lovely picture in which I am sure the unicorn deserves the award of a star!

This is an excellent picture of a dog (Harry?) superimposed on a tree with delicate branches radiating out from the trunk, almost like blood vessels inside him, with a bright beating heart in the centre. The colours you have used Sophie are glowing and cheerful, and those around the dog represent the fields he loves to run about in. Well done! Grandad.

I really think Sophies self portrait is very like her ... She clearly has shown detail in her features , which I think for age 6 is very advanced ... And it does look like Sophie ... It's really difficult to choose a favourite amongst the pieces .. They are ALL very special . J
