03-06-20 Savannah, What a nice mask. Nice eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and part of a chin. Let's see: where could you wear this? At a Halloween costume party? On the bus going to school? How about when playing sports as a diversion to the opposing player who will be distracted by its colors. I like it. Love, Bruce

Savannah, this is very colorful, and it has all your favorite colors. You worked very hard we can tell by the detail of the piece. We are so proud of your creativity. Keep up the good work!

Savannah, I have commented upon all of your artwork previously, but, after viewing the entire collection, I think that I like this one best. Love, Bruce

This is a new style for you. You and soccer … great! It's clever how you integrated the dots into your soccer ball … and just how the soccer ball looks. Next version you can add dots to your shirt and pants. Nice job. Love, Bruce

Mommy loves this so much! It shows your joy when playing soccer. What a great use of the dot. It is creative and full of color just like you. Love you, Mommy.

Savannah, how creative. I really like the picture; its very modern and very much a part of you. Your player is strong, athletic, and going for it. You used realism and great colors. Love you, Meme

Savannah, this piece of art is so inspiring. I liked that you chose a banana as your focal point. I can see it. I really enjoyed your use of color. Keep on using that creativity. Love, Momma.

These are great, and so creative. I am seeing a big mouth in the middle of the page, with a number of different treatments. Each row, going from top to bottom, gets brighter. I can't decide if I like the bottom left or right one best. The left one has a nice mixture of colors, but I really do like the green on the right. Great work. Love, Bruce

This is a fun picture. I am going to pretend that the yellow is the front of a table and the purple is your chair. I think that I'll make the red spots roses. I'm not sure what to do with the oranges - maybe they are, in fact, oranges on your chair and the red stick. Maybe I'll make that part of the chair's arm. I'm wondering what to do with the white or brown circles around what I have identified as roses. Maybe they are spiders' webs. The green at the bottom looks like several limes. Nice work. I am looking forward to the next exhibition. Love, Bruce

Well now this a most interesting work. The composition is very interesting and the dark colors are very unusual. I like them. Your use of light and dark is so amazing; it pleases my artistic nature. You are very good. Keep up the good work.

I haven't seen your art work for a while, so thought that you had changed professions. This drawing is so bright. I feel like I am entering a field, starting with bright flowers creating a gate - maybe sunflowers, since they are so big and colorful. It's almost like we are walking into maze of fruits. The red could be strawberries, or, if a flower, a pretty spring tulip. The orange could be carrots, or, if a flower, poppy. The purple or blue could be blueberries, or, if a flower, an iris. I think the green is a cabbage plant. If it is a flower, I'd say it's a fern. As a package of things, this is lovely picture. Love, Bruce

Savannah this looks amazing! I love Van Gogh. He is one of my most favorite artists, and you have captured his post-impressionistic style. You are so talented. Love, Momma.

I was thinking that these were flowers gone to bud, but maybe they are like a summer carnival. Here we are in the tents with merry-go-rounds underneath and everyone having a good time. Let's make the blue and purple walkways that people are walking along. Very pretty. Love, Bruce

I think we are looking at the gone to seed flowers from earlier in the spring. So pretty how you have joined them together. I am wondering where you have placed them, with the bright green, blue, and purple hues. Maybe they are on a cloth that is swaying in the breeze. Great use of colors.

This is a mystery drawing. I am going to say that they are turtles. See the green-circled eyes on the one at the right; the other two look like smaller versions. I bet they are all relaxing in grass and water, right under the summer sun. I wonder what the red markings on the big turtle - maybe her name in turtle-talk. These are very pretty. Love, Bruce

You have a very bright red whale. I wonder where the blue dots came from. This picture looks like the whale is in a small bay, where you can easily see the different colors of water ... so you have the shades of purple, blue, green, black, and maybe a yellowish color. It looks like we have the sun in the background, putting off pretty red, orange, and yellow strands of light. This is very pretty, Savannah.

Is everybody in this family an outstanding artist? You did a wonderful piece of work. Love the bubbles; they look very real. Your colors are special and are blended so well. The blue shades meld so well with the green. I hope you enjoyed doing that piece as much as I enjoyed looking at it.

This is a beautiful stylized flag. I am wondering where the green comes from? Is it for the earth on which we walk? Next time you can paint a pretty flag that has different colors ... Yellow in Spain's and Green in Brazil's. Great job. Love, Bruce

05-03-17 Let's think where your leaves are going to fall. It looks like a dark day, with a purple sky. Let's, first, think of the colors underneath the purple - so blue for water and green and yellow for land, with the autumn leaves fluttering down. I think that the biggest leaf, which is in the bottom center, will probably fly away the farthest from your home in Elida. Let's think that that one will go all the way to Columbus and Ohio State University. Let's think that the next two bigger leaves will go, one east to Ada (where Mommie went to law school) and one west to Fort Wayne (which has a nice shopping mall). The two smaller ones we'll have go to Bluffton and Lima, which are both closer towns. So you artwork will spread and bring joy to so many people. Great job. Love, Bruce

10-17-16 Savannah, This is so nice. I'm thinking that you have a box with your name on it, surrounded by beautiful sheets, with a multi-colored blanket near by. I wonder what is in your box? Maybe your bed clothes. I also like how nice your cursive writing is. Good job. Love, Bruce

How very beautiful Vanna it is like an ole time perfume bottle. The color is verigated, and I like the way you blended the colors. I feel like I can touch it. It appears to be a pottery piece. I wish that I could hold it in my hands. The background is a favorite color of mine. You are so talented. Always paint what you feel, and it will be perfect just like this work is.

03-03-16 Savannah, That's a cute note at the top ... because I was wondering who made the pot. Did you make it out of clay? Or something else? Is the top a cork? I can't decide if the black drawings on the put are trees or tents. The way you have them placed, makes it look like they are on a hill. Nice job. Love, Bruce

Vanna what a beautiful Mitton, and it looks very warm. It would fit me; I know it. It would be perfect for a cold winters day to make snowballs. I would have to buy a something with the same colors beautiful colors. It's the best one Meme has ever seen love it

01-22-16 Savannah, This looks like a beautiful mitten. What are you trying to capture with the colors? Maybe you are looking through a forest and its trees, orange for the forest floor; green for trees, purple for open space, and orange/red at the top looking to the sky. Does this mitten fit on your hand, or is it too small? Love, Bruce

Vanna, I found your leaf to be the perfect colors and its shape is just right. It reminds me of the leaves I picked up when I was a little girl from the big tree in our yard. We lived in a big ole white two story house. The window in my room was up high and I could see right into the top of the big tree. I loved the leaves and when they fell I ran downstairs to get the very pretty ones to hang in my room. What a good job you did the background is just an excellent blend of spring and fall colors. I can tell you love leaves like me.

12-11-15 This is a pretty leaf. Where do you see it? What kind of leaf do you think it is? I think it looks like it is from a birch tree. I am thinking that your background represents a number of places where the leaf or leaves could be found: green for on the ground, blue for being in a pond or creek, or purple for either being near a mountain or just floating against a dark sky. Great job. Love, Bruce

I love this ... but what is it? I am going to think that it is four special bugs. The green one looks most real. The orange one is cute, with its two eyes and two nostrils. Um, the purple one seems to have a long skinny body and big antenna. Why is the red one so little? Are they flying through the air ... or swimming? I can't tell. Do you think that they are brothers and sisters? Nice job. Love, Bruce
