I love cupcakes! Of any size, color, or flavor. Now I have a new favorite cupcake it’s called ‘the Kennedy’ cupcake. It’s so beautiful and I know this artist put a lot of time and hard work into making this creation the BEST ever. Great job Kennedy! Do you deliver? Love Nana

Kennedy I’m so impressed! I really love this piece of yours. I missed the email from Artsonia so I’m just seeing this for the first time. I’m so glad cuz I’d be upset if I didn’t order a magnet if this for our refrigerator! Birch trees are one of my favorites much like the gorgeous Aspen trees in Colorado. You did a beautiful job recreating one of mother nature’s best creations. The shade falling on the snow and the trees texture is very cool. Hid you do that? But your sky is so incredible. Cool colors for the cold winter we’ve had , it actually gives me a chill. Can’t wait to see you I’ve missed you so much. Darn Covid! Love you. ??

Stunning! I love the fuzzy texture you have achieved on this piece. Also placement adds another interesting attraction to the pumpkin as does your excellent shading technique. Did you use craypas? Very nice K.

Kennedy you are so fortunate to be studying about graffiti as an art form. There are many buildings in downtown Kansas City that have graffiti art on them. They are pretty cool. Maybe some nice day in the fall we could go scope them out. I really like what you’ve done here. The brickwork is really nice and the symbols very interesting. You’ll have to tell me what they stand for? I especially love that you chose ‘together’ as your message. These times are difficult and we all have to be in this being kind to one another ; sometimes that’s not easy. I’m proud of how you have handled this Covid crisis. The lessons you’ve learned will be with you forever. I love you. Nana

I really like your octopus in the aquarium. I remember you telling me about deciding to draw the octopus and I thought how brave bc that in my opinion is a hard creature to draw. But you did it! Great job. I wish when I was in grade school I had an Artsonia site where I could see all my art. This is a great resource for you to see how you’ve progressed over time. Keep up the creativity. Love nana ??

WOW Kennedy this piece is very powerful. And using just 2 colors creates such a dynamic effect. Your graduation of the green is excellent and usage of cat, bats, and cemetery so creepy, which is excellent! You are really doing very good work! love, Nana and grandpa!??

Years ago Kennedy as I was driving very early in the morning to IOWA I saw the Northern Lights. And you have captured the colors I remember from that cold October morning so well. Especially the vivid green. I hope someday you will get to see the Northern Lights. It's a very special experience. I'm glad your teacher has introduced this phenomenon of nature to you and your class. You've created a picture that also expresses calm and serenity. Ahhhh! -- Nana M.

Kennedy, This must be either a chalk or pastel art creation (am I right?) and how curious this owl appears to be. Hmmm...I wonder what he is thinking? It's great that this night creature takes up most of the page yet you've still had room to place the gorgeous full moon behind him. What fun texture, lines, color and contrast you've achieved here, Kennedy. It makes me so happy that you not only love art but that you are very good, too. Of course, I'd love you even if you didn't like art. You are so very special. Love Nana. (WOO HOO!) -- Nana M.

Kennedy this is a very unique presentation of the color wheel and also transparency; how 2 colors make a third color. Your background design creates a textural quality and points out your attention and understanding of how important detail is to a work of art. Finally, to my eyes, the background seems to move or 'dance' and acts in a way to suspend the spheres of color. Congratulations, I am always so proud of your creative skills. Love, Nana M. -- Nana M.

This is one of my favorite pieces you have done Kennedy. First of all, I love birds but also this shows me how far you have come in your art skills. Your use of color, your attention to detail (the white dots) and though small, I can see the tiny green leaf, and the lovely yellow eye and beak. Looking ahead, I can't wait to see the artwork you create in 3rd grade. This will hang in nana's gallery for sure. Nana -- Marilyn

Kennedy, I know that Vanilla is your favorite flavor, so seeing vanilla being your first flavor here, with sprinkles, is so representative of you. Who do the other colors represent? Am I in there? . I love that some of your flavors have smiles...how cute is that! Love this one. Nana. -- Marilyn

Kennedy, Your snowman is so happy just like you. But I am glad you won't melt away like he does. How great you are learning about 'perspective' and how an object looks different from various angles. The shading on the edges creates this illusion. The glistening squiggles are such a nice touch to make it look like real snow. I think this might be one of my favorite works of art created by you, so far. -- Nana

Kennedy, how I love the way no single number is the same. On some numbers you actually use different colors for one line, very creative. Each box is unique in itself, I like #1 the best. The background appears to look like tye-dye and the line is 2 colors. I also like # 11 and # 13. Do you have a favorite square/number here? Did you know this artist was born on May 15, the same day as your cousin Barrett. (I googled this) Of course the artist is much older. You continue to brighten my world with your art. Thank you. Love Nana -- Nana

Kennedy I LOVE your snail! I think? it is a boy snail, and he appears to be very alert probably has discovered another creature nearby. Most of all I love his dots and he is the color orange. How creative you are. I can't wait to see more of your lovely artwork. Nana -- Nana M

Kennedy, I love this art you have created. So many lovely colors and a great choice of including animals. I am so proud of you and hope you continue to love art. You are very good and I can't wait to see more pictures soon. I want to hear about what you have learned about the artist Juan Miro, too. Studying artists is so much fun don't you think? Love, NANA -- Marilyn
