This chalk drawing is quite pleasing to the eye. I love the placement of the different-colored petals and the asymmetrical placement of the close on the page. Your love of sunflowers is reflected in the shape of this flower. Nicely done! -- Grandma and Grandpa

We really like this abstract piece. The placement of shapes and colors makes it interesting and pleasing to the eye. Adding the smaller rounded shapes creates contrast with the other straight-sided shapes. Good job! -- Grandma and Grandpa

This is interesting, Xander. It reminds me of Picasso’s work. Maybe someday it will sell for lots of money like his artwork does! : ) -- Mom

William, You really achieved an impressionist feel here. While nothing is a "picture" of what it represents, it is obvious what everything is! Nice job! -- Grandma

You showed the tree and the snow in a way that makes the viewer wonder which objects are inside the window and which are outside. I think that makes the picture quite interesting! -- Grandma + Grandpa

It makes me smile - and I think it is trying to make me smile! I like how you filled the page with interesting things without distracting me from the snowman character. Your use of pale shading on his body and head makes him look round and plump rather than flat on the page. Nicely done!!! -- Grandma

I love the details you added around the eyes - they give the face personality. Again, you made bold color choices and used all the available space - good job, Xander! -- Grandma

I like thw placement of the face on the page-it's much more interesting than if it was centered. Good, bold color choices and use of the entire page make it quite pleasing to the eye. -- John & Mary
