Sophie, the sophistication of the work is remarkable. The highlights to make the ornaments look like they are lit is terrific. What I find very interesting is the name of the music that you used as a background. Joy to the World. That is how I think of you Sophie. You are a Joy to the World. I smile every time I see you because you are always so happy to see us. grandpa

Sophie your creativity is incredible. I know how you got you in the picture, but how did you get the bear in there as well. :) I like the ceiling fan and the details on your bed. I did not know that doctors were artists as well!!!!!!!

Sophie, I like your picture. the snow flakes remind me of winter. And what better time to have a Christmas tree. I like the box you have around the tree and the very square tree trunk. I like have you have used shading to show the different layers of the tree, just like in the forest. it is always enjoyable to see new pictures from you. Grandpa

Wow Sophie, this is remarkable. I look through the window that you drew and I can see the Christmas tree but when I look again I almost see a person with Christmas ornaments as her earrings. I think you are becoming a very good artist. I wish I could say that I can draw as well as you can but I cannot. I would say that you are the best artist in the family that I know of at any age. I think your future is so bright I am going to have to start wearing shades. Keep up your hard work as we know that will always pay off for you

Thank you for showing this to me in person on Grandparent's Day. I thought it was a spotted cat - I'm so glad you told me it was an Ocelot taking a nap!

Nice cat Sophie. But the horse of different colors is even better. Your choice of colors shows the amount of time you spent on the project. How delightful to see the remarkable results you achieved through your hard work. Keep working hard at your art and your results will continue to improve. Perhaps some time you can exhibit at the Louve. Grandpa

I like your colorful horse and the colorful flowers growing in the field!
-- Terri

Sophie, this is a horse of many colors. I like the flowers (tulips I think). I sure hope the horse does not eat ALL of the flowers. A horse is a horse of course, of course...unless he is a cow. :) Grandpa H

Sophie, the detail you put into this picture is remarkable. The legs are crossed properly, the color is right, the wing is the right size for the body. You are not creating like a 2nd grader, it is much closer to someone in the 8th or 9th grade. I am very proud of this work.

Soph, I really like this picture. I know that Pink is your favorite color. When I was younger I was not a very good artist, but I did like to draw houses. It looks like there are people looking out the windows of your house. It also looks like there are hills around the house and maybe a pond. rich

Sophie, this is an incredible picture. It looks like a horse that is spitting out fire. But, maybe it is a Zebra of a different color. Or it could be an Easter horse that has been dipped into the color barrels too many times. You are already a much better artist than I am. Can you just imagine riding this horse in the Stock Show parade. If you were to ware a black outfit than the colors of the horse would how up even better. When I close my eyes I can see you riding. it really looks like a lot of fun. I wonder how fast you could ride.

Sophie, I think this is very interesting. It looks like a tree with presents under it. And it looks like you did it with triangles and squares. I am very impressed with your art work. I just love your talent. You will get a special prize next time you come to my house if your mom and dad say OK.
