Lucas, the monochromatic color arrangement is a 'must know' for any designer, artist, and even people working the floral/fashion/event industry. I'm glad you're learning art theory in your school. Your picture is fantastic! I see you chose pinks and if I recall, this is your favorite color. Pinks are a blend of red/white and your range includes the violets you used-nicely done! This is one of your best works and shows a lot of talent.

I agree with dad, your drawing shows the light source reflection really well! Lucas, it's hard to draw on black paper with chalks-they smear and get messy, but you did a really nice job here! your solar system looks 'heavenly'! -- Vicky

I like how the moon is in cool colors (green and blue) cause it's certainly cooler at night than day and how it looks like a crescent moon, sleepy because he comes out at night. I like your clever sun with warm colors of pink and orange and he's wide awake, ready for the day. I like how the background reflects day and night too. Nice job as always Lucas! Lucas, I'm glad you're learning how to mix paint colors and create a new color. Red and yellow together make the secondary color orange and I love the color orane. I image your classroom having these beautiful orange leaves all around. Beautiful work!? -- Vicky

Lucas, this is one of the friendliest reindeer I have ever seen. I like him very much! He must be young, about 7 years old like you, because he doesn't have his antlers yet, but he'll get them when he's a little older. Did you know there are several kinds of reindeer?
