At first I was hesitant to let Greg include a Confederate flag in his artwork, considering the current tense political climate. He assured me that he didn't intend to promote racism, slavery or secession. His concept was to have white and black hands reaching out to each other over an olive branch. The Union and Rebel flags as a backdrop was meant to emphasize unity by contrasting it with the conflict of the Civil War.
