Ooooo lala!!!! This is very colorful and exciting, the first thing that it reminded me of was Martha's Vineyard for some reason. So many great colors and interesting textures!!! The bright colors just pop off of the page in the blue surrounding colors! I can't wait to talk about this painting with you. You always have interesting thoughts about what you draw and how you choose your colors and placement of objects and people. I look forward to seeing this in person someday. Dear Gavin, Your artwork is very interesting. It looks like you had a chance to use watercolors. I love working with watercolors. We will have to do some watercolor paintings when you come over someday. It reminds me of a beautiful sunset with trees and hills or maybe rocks in shadow. i'm thinking that you cut the shapes from black paper. Your shapes are really lovely. I especially like the two trees on the right, the way you positioned them makes one look like it is in the foreground (up close) and the smaller one looks like it is in the background.
