It's often hard to use a grid because it makes things look too mechanical, but your lion has lots of energy and life. You've done a great job using the grid to guide the drawing without letting it take over.

Nice work, Zoe. I love the way the images flow across the page, and I like how the bright colors are working their way down into the brown and gray, as if your symbols were gradually filling up the space. Great energy and movement. Have you ever used water-soluble colored pencils? They let you draw and color with the pencils, but then use a wet brush to blend the pigment. They're a bit challenging, but I think you would enjoy working with them. Keep up the good work!
