Dear Elyse, It is always so much fun creating fall artwork on black construction paper as the background. The three dimensional layering of paint and construction paper objects makes your artwork come alive. A great job in using perspective. The blending of the various red, orange, and yellow paint adds to your artwork. I also like how you did your starry night with a full moon.

Elyse, This chalk artwork is absolutely gorgeous! You definitely need to pursue this ability and talent you have. You have captured the various colors the mountains take on due to the sun and shades the clouds produce during the day. The perspective of the adobe buildings to the mountains in the background are right on. I like how you showed depth in putting shade on the same side of the adobes. The cool shades of blues to purples makes this a very relaxing and breathtaking scene.

Dear Elyse, Another creative piece of art work showing nature with the use of chalk on black paper. I love your choice of colors for the spider web. It resembles the iridescent colors you see in the morning dew or after a rain shower. The way you designed the web looks the same way you would see in nature---incomplete in places as if the wind blew some of the web away. Love,

Dear Elyse, The perspective of your ocean collage is very good. The torn shades of blue paper resemble the waves of the ocean and the clouds and sun shining over the ocean reflect the depth of the beach water. Excellent work in showing the texture of the sand.
