Wow, Woodland City is a very interesting and intriguing artwork. The distant mountain range as a backdrop for a colourful city rising out of the forest. I especially love the foremost (pine?) tree with armlike branches. The bold use of colour on the dwellings and flying machines is brilliant. Well done. Love you. Grammy Jammy -- Jane

I love those aspen trees! They remind me of the mountains in Colorado. The leaves are so delicate, and the trees so straight and tall--kind of loving each other. Keep up your good work, Case! I also love your Grade 2 picture of the whole range of snow-capped mountains, and one with the peace symbol on it. I would love to order it if it could have a Canandian address. I love you bunches, Case, and hope to see you soon. GGJoye -- Joye

I'm so glad to see this piece. Now I am anxious to hear you describe this city scape of your mind. I remember you telling me, but I couldn't visualize it. Now I can see the structure, color, and detail for myself. I love your art work, Case-O -- Grammy

Well Case, I very much like your three trees. The bark has great texture and the aspen look as if they have started leafing out in spring. I also like your sky very much. Well done! Grammy Jammy -- Jane

Case-O, we really like mixed media pieces. Is this pastels and colored pencils? We always enjoy your use of color: bright, bold, and unexpected. So fun the way you use the whole canvas! -- Papi and Grammy

Hey Case, That is one very large, very happy, very colourful fish swimming through the seaweed. Could that be you snorkelling? In Mexico perhaps? I look forward to hearing the back story when we next meet. Artists rule! Love, Grammy Jammy -- Jane

I love this happy fish and his friend following close behind! Is that a spaceship in the sky? A submarine? Lots of happy faces and movement in this one! Love, Mama -- Jill

Case, we have really enjoyed all your art. This one and the weaving picture that preceded it make me want to touch the pieces. Have your brought these two from this year home yet? I am so anxious to see what is posted next. While we were in Mexico, we saw such great color and often thought of you and how you would appreciate the art of our neighbors to the South. Every year there is an art walk through the Machado Plaza featuring all kinds of media. We'll have to go when you visit! -- Papi

Case, we really like your work with patterns on the last two weaving pictures. I know a lady from Ghana who has some Kente fabrics, given to her in her wedding dowry. She would really enjoy this project! Bronco fans would also like your choice of colors. Papi and Grammy -- Sherry

Hey Case This is most interesting. Such an inspired idea to make rainbow vertices stripes then cut and separate the pieces horizontally producing a very dramatic art work. Cheers, Grammy Jammy -- Jane

Oh boy, Case-O. I love this chicken. Makes me think of the many roosters we saw wandering about the streets in El Quelite a few days ago. What a great expression on the face. A hen or a young rooster? Either way, he looks like he is applying the brakes as if something has surprised him. Your work always suggests such movement. -- Grammy

I have loved looking at this piece again and again. First, I noticed the texture of straw and brick, but wait! Second the color: the shading is quite intriguing. The placement of color on the page has an interesting and eye pleasing diagonal presence. I think it is so cool that you signed the page in that happy fluffy cloud. The colors there are quite beautiful and give the page a nice balance. But ooh the story your ninja pigs are living. Does the wolf see that trickle of smoke and all that fuel? This must have been a fun project! -- Grammy

Case-O, my favorite piece of the collection. Such energy and motion. Max and the Wild Things are some of my favorite characters in all children's books.
