What a great exercise to learn color theory. You're seeing how putting two colors close together affect the viewer's eyes differently than when other colors are paired. I just love these kinds of paintings, Berkley. They are another way to represent our world. It lets you show a subject's special parts. This painting lets her play with her hair by letting it lay on her neck AND hang straight down away from her head. If she held her head straight up, both sides would be hanging down. Fun stuff. Layers and layers of love! Isn't it fun to mix things around? Brush stroke here, brush stroke there, stamp a dot, then stamp a heart! I like to do prints using 'found' objects just to see what shape they leave on the paper. Have fun with your art, Berkley. You are doing great!!

Walking in a "Winter Wonderland," I discovered the cutest snowman hiding in the snow. He called my name and told me that Artist Berkley Ware had created him. I told him that he was the cutest, and he wriggled and stood up. He gave me a hug and a cold snowy kiss. Then, he deflated to wait for another one of Berkley's friends. Oh, I see another friend coming. Get ready, Mr. Snowman.
