A mystery ice pop is what I see. It appears to be red and white. Maybe as you think of a flavor it will become that flavor as you eat it. I’d call it the “Yum Pop.” The red part reminds me of the flavors cherry, strawberry or raspberry. The white part reminds me of the flavors lemon, vanilla or marshmallow. Carnivals and Country Fairs should stock up on these Yum Pops. They would probably be a sellout. I love the idea of designing an ice pop or an ice cream bar and turning it into art. Your artwork looks good enough to eat.

If I were shopping for stamps I would select your design. It should definitely be on a U.S. Postage stamp. I love the patriotic colors. You look so proud with your patriotic smile to be an American. Our country needs young people like you to show the world how to wonder and how to extend yourself through art. Some things are better said without words. As always, our actions speak much louder. God Bless America!

I have to admit it took me a while to discern the words in your word art project. That’s a testament to how well you hid them. It was so much fun to discover them. It was like finding jewels on the beach. The contrasting colors camouflaged the black lines of the letters. Correct me if I am wrong. The words I see are David, red, wolf, brown and baseball. What a cool idea. The way you choose and contrast the colors creates a vibrant and pretty picture. I just want to keep looking at it. Can’t wait to see your next art project.

What beautiful goedes. Your choices of colors are vibrant and resemble the real goedes. Their beauty is within. They inspire me to think of how beautiful we are within, because we were formed by God. The goedes were too. Creation is wonderful to explore and to replicate it in art. Your talent is such a blessing. It was formed in you from the moment God decided that David should be in this world. Thanks for sharing the beauty within you. Aunt Franny

Your pallet of colors and designs create a welcome feeling. In the town of color and design, Is a home that’s a favorite of mine. It’s next to the one on the right. A bird in a tree and a bird in flight. The smoke is drifting left in the air. The car that is closer soon won’t be there. My favorite home is the shortest I think. You can guess by now, It’s the one that is pink. Love your art work, Aunt Franny

I love this blue bird. The diamond shapes on the underside are really cool. The triangular shapes around the neck look just like a necklace. The striped wings remind me of surfboard sails. My, this is quite the bird around town and it’s a David H. original. Is the bird wearing lipstick? Oh no, wait! Birds don’t have lips but beaks can have a touch of color and wearing a smile is also a fashion statement. It always increases your face value and compliments your outfit. It appears that the bluebird is looking directly at something or someone. Hmm! Could it be the fashion runway for bluebirds called “Wings and Things? Or could it be the show stopper, beautiful, Betty and her benchmark, brilliant, boutique of belongings. It baffles even the best of bird brains. “Bird Fashion With Passion!” It’s the only way to fly.

Wow! What an interesting city you created. Buildings with facial expressions offer a hint of wonder. Do they tell us how they are feeling? Do they tell us who lives inside? What kind of a city is it? I imagine they are a family. Sometimes you can be happy, sad, silly, or even thoughtful in a family. They seem very close too. Some are tall and some are short. There are boys and girls. Which one is the mom and which one is the dad? Is there a grandpa and grandma too? Maybe they are all cousins. Their windows remind me of buttons as though they were wearing clothes. I love their rooftop hairdos. I guess they don’t need shoes. I enjoyed visiting your city of wonder.

27 teeth??!! Are they his baby teeth? He is a cool choice of colors. Miss bee is smiling at Mr. Alligator. She looks as though she is coming in for a landing upon his one good eye. If he ducks into the water he can escape her sting. Is that a frog under Mr. Alligators head? He makes a lovely head rest for an alligator with sizeable jaws. I bet he is good at eating lots of animal burgers. I wonder what his toothpaste bill is like? You have to love the waterfront property and the view, as far as his one good eye can see. Maybe he is a Senior alligator who lives in Florida. Hey! What do you call an alligator with GPS? A Nav-i-gator. (Haha) Great art work!

Dreams are made of colors such as these. It reminds me of lollipops, ice pops, push up pops, and all kinds of candy. It makes me think of pinwheels, summer gardens, amusement parks, fresh fruit, paint sets and crayons, markers and colored chalk. My oh my oh, there are colors of every kind. I would vote for your artwork to appear on a stamp of the U.S. Postal service. Beach towels, tablecloths, greeting cards, curtains and sandals beware. You could be next to wear David’s cool design. Your design was meant to be everywhere. Dream on Designs by David. Love your work.

Wow! It looks like a real spoon on a real napkin with a real bowl of soup. The place mat is a nice color contrast to the soup and letters. Soup art is your specialty. Yummity, yum, yum, yum. Perhaps, one could find such a bowl of soup in a restaurant made up of grilled cheese walls. You could eat them with your soup. Who needs walls when they compliment the soup so well. I would eat the letters C, H, E, and W and chew all of the alphabets in your soup. Then I would rinse them down with the tomato soup. Your art is making me hungry. Got any crackers? Art reveals something inside of you. It is always fun for me to find out what that is. Bon Appetit’ Aunt Franny

What a great Valentine to receive on Valentine’s Day. There it was with its royal red, blue and gold colors. It reminded me of how important our hearts are in this world. When we do the very best job that we can, our hearts can be equally colorful and as beautiful as your artwork. We must keep our hearts healthy physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We must have a heart when it comes to how we treat others. We sometimes must think with our hearts instead of only our minds. Sometimes there are broken hearts that need healing. There are also hearts of gold. They are the ones who know what it takes to make things right by giving. When you put a little love in your heart each day you will become the best kind of Valentine in this world. You become a light in the darkness. My heartfelt wishes for you and your family are to have the best Valentine’s Day ever. HEARTS RULE!

Your Indian elephant looks parade ready. She is bedazzled with jewelry befitting an elephant diva. I imagine this profile is her best side. Your border enriches your subject. The stars and zig zag design draw my attention to how special she is. The robe on her back looks comfortable. Her ears are adorned quite elegantly. Even elephants like to get dressed up once in awhile. JOKE TIME- Why can’t elephants use a computer? They are too afraid of the mouse. Hahaha (You may have “herd” this joke already.) Viewing your artwork is like a party in my head. Love Aunt Franny

This one is different from all the rest of your artwork. It reminds me of a quaint old town where everyone is welcome. There is always room for one more friend and all of the people live in harmony. Blue, pink, red orange, yellow and shades of green create a symphony of color, each one playing its own note at precisely the right time. Together, they ring in a new song, a new day, a new year and a new start. It represents hope that is forever sure, forever strong and forever full of love. Thank you for sharing what’s inside of you. Love, Aunt Franny

I love studying your artwork. It reminds me of a painting by Vincent Van Gogh. The name of the painting is “Starry, Starry Night.” My favorite part of your picture is the tree. It has that Halloween character. All of the colors express the Happy part of Halloween. The dog looks like he can’t decide if he wants the trick or the treat. I believe the letters on the gravestones stand for Really Interesting Picture. What a wonderful job you’ve done! Perhaps, one day, you can put all of your artwork into a book entitled “The Art of David.” Save a copy for me.

I dig that crazy hairdoo. It probably keeps his head warm. When he is in a crowd, he is easy to spot. The colors are very dramatic and bold. They seem to say, "Here I Am." Your character is happy being who he is. His eyes look content with the world he sees around him. I wonder what he says to his hair stylist when he needs a trim. Maybe he says "Just a little off the sides." Well you get the crazy award for the crazy hairdoo day.

wow David I admire this piece so much! What a great concept using yarn for the turtle's back. You know how much I enjoy yarns and fabrics and this is so unique. Next time that you visit we can keep a look out for the turtle and can compare and contrast your turtle creation with the turtle in the yard we see from time to time. You really have an innovative touch to your art work and Grandpa and I enjoy seeing all that you create. You have a wonderfully talented teacher who brings the best out in you. Love you so much.

Well if it isn't Toofy Watusi, the tooth fairy of Toothsville. Toofy and I go way back when I had my first set of teeth fall right out of my head - one at a time, of course. I see that Toofy is wearing the dance clothes from "Dancing with the Stars." All of the stars look like the teeth that fell out of my head. Toofy always believed in recycling. Way to go Toof! I love the shoe design and color. They are very serious shoes for "Dancing with the Stars." Having great wings was always Toofy's best feature. When the wings begin to flap they create a welcoming breeze to remind us that Toofy is close by. I would love to have your creative artwork on my own tooth.

This is the happiest snail I ever did see! The stained glass shell is beautiful, so full of marvelous color! His expression seems to say; "I will follow David anywhere and everywhere"! I am looking forward to your next art design project it is so much fun to see what you can create.

Bubbles, bubbles everywhere! Wonderful beakers they remind me of liquid measurements like we used when you helped me make pancakes when you visited! David you are a talented young artist with a wonderful Art teacher who is helping you to develop your creative self expression. I wish I could reach in and pop the bubbles, we can blow bubbles during our next visit. Love you so much, Grandma

I love your color collage snail. He seems so happy that you drew him. His shell looks beautiful with his primary and secondary colors. Being red can make a fellow feel so alive. It shows in his eyes and with the expression on his face. What a lucky snail to have you as an artist. Your talent grows every time you express yourself in your art. He looks like a Lester if he is a boy or maybe Trudy if she is a girl. There must be something down the road that your snail is going to. Could it be to get the snail mail? Perhaps it is that time of the day to go for a crawl. I wonder what snails do for fun. Maybe they just enjoy being snails. Enjoy being David. You get to star in your own show. BRAVO!

Bubbles and beekers and beautiful shades Of colors and numbers and lines that don't fade. Scientist, Schmientis who wil he be? Could it be David? Oh yes it is he. The subjects all float yet stay together They are meant to do this in all kinds of weather. Three in a row, big, medium, small Let's have a go and measure it all. Orange, purple and green are in view Oh David, this work of art is all you. Thank you for sharing a part of your heart. It shows in your drawing, which sets you apart. Your art work makes me feel bubbly inside. Great job!

This owl has amazing eyes. She looks as though her name could be Mazy or Cupcake. What do you think? Her claws look perfectly manicured and ready for painting. Her branch sitting day is so colorful. The leaves are her tree jewelry. She looks so lovely. It is fun to imagine, what it must feel like to be an owl sitting in my very own tree. A boy named David created me right out of his own head. Whooo knew you would get it right.

I wish apples really looked like your artwork. It would be fun deciding which color I would bite first. The red color might taste like a candied apple. The green color might taste like lemon-lime. The purple color might taste like grape. The two smaller apples look like mini bites. My tummy would say yum to all of them. I love all the colors in your artwork. The orange and blue background allow your artwork to pop. The large apple seems as though it is looking at me with one eye open, one eye winking and the other one saying mmm! mmm! good. To the mini bites I say, "How do you like them apples?" EVERYBODY INTO THE JUICER!

Your underwater scene is very inviting. I feel as though I am being invited in to the coolest party. All the sea creatures look happy as could be. They look like the friendliest sort. The big fish is wearing his party hat and singing. No tables are necessary at this party because it is a swim festival. Can I walk in, jump in, dive in or just sale into the party? Perhaps, I will jet ski to the party. Ready, set, have FUN!

Dearest David, Imagine that this great artwork began with of all things a piece of yarn. All of the underwater activity you so cleverly expressed in your drawing looks amazing! The two jellyfish, shark, sea grass, crab and my favorite the starfish clearly are enjoying their time under the sea with your huge fish! I went to the beach with your Aunts yesterday and can just imagine all the fun that was going on under the waves as we watched them break onto the beach. Looking forward to your next visit when we can walk on the sand exploring the wonders together. Congrats on your beautiful artwork! I am so proud of you, Grandma Bernice

HOLY FOOTPRINT Batman! Is that David's artwork? Wow it's the red and yellow stripe caper. How does he do it? Is it a shoe? Is it a sneaker? Is it a flip flop? Is the name David on the flip or the flop side? Is it lost or is it found? Is it a birthday present or did you win it? Maybe you bought it or traded some of your Pokemon characters for it. Could it be dancing footwear or maybe a slipper? It's a real zonkaroo of a guess for your Aunt Franny. My brain thanks you for taking it on a journey to the outer limits of guessing. Great job! I love it!

Wow David I feel like I am back in Disney when I look at your castle! The details are amazing especially the knight in his armor. Love the Dragon too. Your talent for drawing stands out in the details you used to express your scene. The colors you selected and the waves you added and the fire breathe your Dragon is puffing out of his mouth all drew me into the story, allowing me to be drawn into the picture with you. Love you, Grandma Bernice

Alas, David's kingdom of color, character, charisma and cool had attracted the mighty dragon, Otis. At first, Otis thought it was a mirage. But much to his surprise it was just what he always hoped for, a castle of his own. He could hardly believe his eyes when he saw the knight atop the castle of David. The castle welcomed Otis with its open drawbridge. Otis breathed his breath of fire, raised his purple wings and began to sing "Uptown Saturday Knight" all the way to the front gate. When greeted by the guard, Otis told him he wanted to fly above to the rooftop to greet the knight. The guard didn't believe him. So Otis said, "If you don't believe me just watch!" With great delight Otis did fly above to the rooftop and smack into David. David awoke and realized all that happened was just a dream. David prepared for school that day. When he arrived at school all his friends were happy to see him. They told David the grandest dragon they had ever seen stopped by to give him a gift. David stood there with his mouth open stunned by the news. One friend handed him a t-shirt from Otis. It said "A dream is a wish your heart makes. Thanks for making me green. It's my favorite color." I guess I got a little carried away with your castle drawing. It sparked my imagination. Can't wait to see what you draw next. Love, Aunt Franny

I love your cool penguin project. The diorama adds a n--ice dimension to the scene. It looks like a good time was had by all the Penguins. Perhaps, Mr. Penguin is thinking about vacation on a warmer island or maybe he just needs a hug. Way to go David!

Dear David, I like your drawing of two friends sharing ice cream! It looks like one friend is giving the other friend the ice cream cone. It must be a hot day since the ice cream is melting. Is it vanilla ice cream? Love, Mom
