Hi Jack. Your second object looks like something yummy to eat and the small container has such a pretty smooth top and lining. The black shinny square may have me stumped but I see holes in the top so I am guessing that it is either a pepper shaker or a pencil holder. You know the job of an artist is to make people think and you really got me going. Good job!
