Richard, I love this piece. I am sure your teacher shared something of the artist Andy Warhol and his soup can portraits. I had the opportunity to see them and a number of Warhol's other pop art pieces at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. They were playful, bright, engaging and made you think. When I saw your piece I smiled because you made the creative choice not to use any of the colors associated with the can of Campbell soup. I love the brown and yellow. It's fantastic. I also love how your soup is a "Burger Soup." Ha! I love your attention to detail. It feels like you had fun working on this piece. Right on! Great job! -- Kwadjo

Richard this time of year inspires many an artist to create things that evoke images of purity, goodness, joy, divine/divinity, holiness, love. Your angel does that beautifully. I liked your choice of a faceless angel, beyond human expression but at the same time something we all recognize or can identify with...I loved the visible texture in the wings and the hands folded together in the prayer position but looking like a heart. That was sweet and subtle. Your angel felt otherworldly like angels should feel and it seems you enjoyed bringing it forth. Well done!
