Ben, this is another art work I haven't seen before. What a wonderful stick man. I think the best part is his face and hat. Great job! Love, Grandma B.

So cool! Love this piece! You worked so hard on this, I loved listening to you explain the process you used to make it.

Ben, this project is very interesting. It's a camera, but not a mobile phone or tablet. It's a real stand alone camera like Grandpa and Aunt Annie use to take special pictures. You did a great job with the clay shaping and painting. I like it a lot. Love, Grandma B.

Ben, this is another awesome work of art by you. The black water is scary to me (since I can't swim), but the island looks safe and inviting. The sun looks friendly with the smile and sunglasses, and not too burning hot. I like the leaning tree which must have felt strong winds to make it grow that way. The clouds and flying birds complete this picture which draws the viewer in. The very best part of your picture is the name you gave it. Perfect! Keep up the good work in art and writing! Love, Grandma B.

Ben, I love this picture!! So intriguing and spooky, yet sort of inviting. Makes me want to be there and look closer. The bright golden door handle makes me wonder what happens if you touch it. Is that a flat roof part or a deck with no railing (risky to be there)? The clock has 9 numbers, so are the days shorter (18 hrs.) or longer (27 hrs.)? Fantastic art, Ben! I love it! You should write a story about it, Grandma B

Ben, this artwork is amazing! I love the vivid, bright colors! Are the black and brown stripes the earth below the rainbow? What kind of paint did you use? I can't wait for you to tell me all about this artwork. Love, Grandma B

Ben, this is beautiful. What a gorgeous painting!! I love the colors of the water, the moss, the trees, and flowers. It's refreshing and feels like spring. And the bridge is so straight and sturdy-looking! You are an artist!! Love, Grandma B.

Oh, Ben, this picture is good! Your green car is complete with tailpipe, radio aerial, and rearview mirror. The best parts are the headlights and turn signal that are beaming out. I like the tall trees, too. You are a very talented young artist and observer! Love, Grandma B

Ben, this might be my very favorite so far. Your watercolor trees are beautiful. showing the seasons of the year. The autumn tree has such lovely fall colors. The winter tree is leafless so you can see through and beyond it. Then the pretty pink tree is full of flowers for spring and summer. Keep up your wonderful artistry. You are so good! Love you, Grandma B.

Ben, this painting fascinates me. Your colors are great. I want to call this guy Rainbow Bug. He or she looks like a fast traveler with those long legs. Although its legs and body are gorgeous, the best part is the face with that sweet little smile. You are a creative artist. Love you, Grandma B.

Oh, Ben, I love this picture! The windmill and the mailbox make it very special. The green grass and sun and clouds show a beautiful summer day. Is the 5-story building a tall house or a school or a church with a cross on top? The windows are perfect! I want to be there and walk around in that happy place. I love your artwork!

Ben, I really really like this little guy, his face especially. He has such a cute expression. He must have a clever name. Will you tell me all about him when we get together? I bet there's a splendid story about this little creature.

Hi Ben. This art piece is mysterious to me. The colors you used are some of my favorites. I look forward to looking at this with you so you can help me understand it. I see something in this picture and I wonder if you see it, too. Love, Grandma

Hi Ben. I'm glad you told me today about the animals in your picture. You said the big dog by the garage is Maggie!! I should have known since her ears are hanging down. Then you said that the middle-sized animal near the house is our Emma!! I am so happy that Emma got in your picture. She is, too. That was very nice of you to draw her. I was right about Sticky and Tiger, at least. I love you. Grandma

Hi Ben. I'm so thrilled that I got to see this work of art up close, in person, when you brought it home from school today. Your teacher is speedy at getting your artwork posted, isn't she? When we sat together on the sofa, you told me all about this picture. We think the guy with the 4-pupil eyes and 7 ears should be on TV as one of the wonderful creatures on pbs. You could become a designer of new characters! I'm glad you drew his sandwich that he didn't eat yet, and his cup, half full. Is he smiling so big because he gets to eat soon? How did you know about a TV with rabbit ears? Have you ever really seen one? Love, Grandma

Ben, this is amazing! This guy looks really real. His eyes are bright, and his eyebrows are really cool. His big mustache and teeth look like he's laughing and having a good time. Maybe he just brushed his teeth. I wonder what kind of toothpaste he uses. Love, Grandma

Ben, it feels like you were very happy when you created this artwork. Happy strokes of colors going vertical, horizontal, diagonal, stacked and tipped. You had lots of energy that day, it seems. I really like this piece. Keep up the good work! Love, Grandma

Hey Ben, your drawing is awesome! I see your house, with all the windows upstairs and downstairs. I see your garage and driveway. I see 4 animals. I think 3 of them are Maggie, Sticky, and Tiger. I don't know about the big one by the garage. Who is that? Sometime will you tell me about the animals? Sticky and Tiger don't go outside, do they?
