Oh my goodness - love your happy hamburger! You're right, he's cute! Does this mean you want a double patty? :D Keep working on your creativity, enjoy your final months at Scenic Heights, and know that we love you, each and every day! XOXO - Mom

I agree, Hunter, I can tell you took your time with this one. It looks very good! Did you know that I did a lot of weaving like this one when I was young? I did something called "God's eye" weaving - have you ever done that? You might ask Mrs. Bend to show you an example - I'm sure she knows what they are. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your creativity with us! I love you every day! - Mom

Hunter, I LOVE this piece! It totally reminds me of the aquariums down in "The Dig" at Atlantis in the Bahamas. This is so beautiful and colorful and graceful - just like the fish, turtles, sharks and rays that we saw there. Thanks for sharing this gift with me. It made me so happy! I love you every day. - Mama

Chubby is AWESOME, though he shouldn't be so shy (he has a very small, reserved "Oink"). Loud and proud, baby! His hat is very cute too - looks like the beret you also made in art. ;^) I love you every day - Mama

Again, the title here is really interesting - and I actually love the block colors! I see a robot that is the next-generation of Alexa - something that doesn't just "listen" but also "sees". ;^) What future do you see? What were you imagining? I love you every day - Mama

Hunter, I love the title of this - "The Watcher" -though I have to ask: what is he watching, or watching for? You have captured the essence of Picasso's style - which is hard to do. I like the use of color, too. Keep trying new things and finding new ways to express yourself. I love you every day! Mama

I agree, Hunter, this is beautiful! I love the stars and the sloth (yes, I spotted him!). Reminds me of the ocean waves and the shells you found in South Carolina over MEA, particularly the one on the top left. The use of bright colors is great too - you're finding your style! Keep creating and dreaming - I love you every day! XOXO - Mama

I agree, Hunter, it does have a creepy coolness about it! I see the various monsters and characters peeping out between the trees which also makes it more like a visual puzzle. Well done! We love you, now and always...XOXO, Mommy

Hunter, I love your bird - it's so colorful! It looks like a parrot - is that what you imagined when you made it? I'm glad we found a special place for it in our display cabinet, too, to keep it safe and to show everyone your creative work. Remember that your Dad and I are proud of you and all that you do. We love you, now and always! - XOXO, Mommy

Wow, Hunter, another cool piece! This reminds me very much of a Minecraft city with the guy in the middle and a creeper hiding out behind the building. Is that what you were intending? Keep going with your art, keep creating, keep exploring new ways to express your ideas. I love you every day! XOXO - Mama

Hunter, you may not have felt that you tried your best here - but I think what you did is very interesting. From this angle, this looks like a little boy with a checkered hat looking IN to the vase. Is that what you saw when you created this? Do you see that too? What I like about your picture is the depth - it seems the "boy" is in front of the vase, even though this is only a flat page. Keep drawing, keep trying, keep looking for new ways to see the world through art. I love you completely!

Hunter, how cool is this? I like the colors and the dots of color. Did you teacher tell you that's called "pointalism" (point - like pointing your finger - ah -lih -sum)? A number of famous painters have created some awesome artwork doing the same - making an image with a bunch of little dots of paint. I will show you one of my favorites, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte", is in the Museum of Art in Chicago - maybe you and I can go see it together sometime. It's pretty cool - just like you! :) I love you every day!

Hunter, I love your self-portrait of you in a snowstorm! Do you know that I *love* walking in snowstorms (not when it's super cold, just snowing)? It makes me feel happy and snuggly like you look like in your picture. :) Keep creating cool artwork, honey - we love to see it all! XOXO - Mommy

Hunter - Who knew all this special stuff was in your head? Star Wars, playgrounds, so much more....I think if you more room, we'd see music there, and stuffed animals and computer games and travel and books and math...What else would you include? I love you every day! Mama
