You know how much I love owls. This one is especially realistic -- so round and fluffy -- perched on that limb. That sliver of moon is just bright enough for us to be able to see him in the purple darkness. I think he is a baby, waiting for his mom and dad to come home from hunting his dinner. Ah, a scarecrow! Very appropriate for this time of year. I can tell that he has straw in his arms and legs. He seems to have scared away all of the birds even though he looks more friendly than scary. Love, Grammy -- Marilynn

When I look at this portrait I think of George Washington with his curly, white hair under his soldier's hat. I'll bet he is looking for his horse. Love, Grammy -- Marilynn

Do you think the other snowmen will ever catch up to the leader? This one makes me think of the cold, windy weather that will soon be here. Love, Grammy -- Marilynn

One lonely pumpkin sitting in the autumn garden on a beautiful starry night... Did you use chalk on the black paper? I almost can feel the ridges on the pumpkin. Love, Grammy -- Marilynn

WOW! I would like to hear you explain this one to me, although I can read my own story into it. The bold colors remind me of the bats coming out of the Carlsbad Caverns in the New Mexico desert every night. Love, Grammy -- Marilynn

Not quite a still life because the fish must be moving in their aquarium. I love all the color, especially in the wallpaper. Another beautiful job -- you must be very proud. -- Grammy

I would like to squeeze that baby penguin's fat tummy! I wonder where he is going -- to meet his mommy, perhaps. I bet she has some juicy fish for him. I would love it if you wrote a story about him and sent it to me. Love you and your art. -- Marilynn - Grammy

I loved it! He doesn't look happy, though. I bet it's because his nose is so cold. Great work, little artist. Love, Grammy -- Marilynn - Grammy

Maria, This is the best looking pumpkin I have seen. I love the way you used the diffrent shades of orange to create the lines on the pumpkin. I looks so realistic! I also love the green and purple contrast. It sets the pumpkin off so nicely! I am so proud of your artwork! Yiayia -- Mary
