Dear Alex, I've just seen your chilly penguin art piece. I love it! Big big BIG snowflakes falling, and the light in the penguin's eyes ---and that sun peeking through at the top left corner of the picture. It makes me feel happy! Hello, Alex! from me, Grandma Ruth, to YOU---I love this picture you painted! The colors are cool-- and the lines and squiggly ones and the dots make it all very interesting. The minute I first saw itI remembered a painting I had done when I was in the first grade ---It used the same ideas as I see here---only difference is I put those lines and squiggles and dots inside a diamond shape, added a stem and leaves and gave it the name of "a Fairy Flower". I hope you keep painting, drawing, etc. I still enjoy the BIG icecream cone you drew (when you were 3) on the window seat in our dining area. I love it, too! -- Ruth
