Hey Schmiley. Grandpa and I explored Keith Haring's website. And it looks like to us he has nothing on you! Your art is so similar to his. Great minds think alike. You are just an amazing little guy.

I read that the artist Romero uses bright colors and bold patterns as a visual expression of happiness. And so do you Byrd. As I commented before, your artwork always feels happy and makes us happy. Grandpa says your just a happy, happy little dude. So proud of you.

Byrd, we really like this painting. Your choice of color, the expressions on their faces and the line movement create a happy picture. Good Job! Grandpa and Grandma B.

I loved looking at your new artwork. I could see the elongated design right away--then read about you learning about Salvador Dali and his art. The colors are very spring like.

I forgot to mention the hearts--a nice softening effect----so if one gets up close they would not need to be too afraid.

This mask is definitely scary--- but the colors you use make it less frightening to Grandma!! The blend of colors remind me of mexican blankets. Happy Colors!!

Love your choice of colors in your painting Byrd. I told Grandpa that your painting looked alot like the artwork of Jackson Pollock. I went online and showed him real Jackson Pollock paintings and he said, "I like Byrd's way, way better. Good Job!

We love your big beautiful heart!!! It makes us think of how much we love you and how you love your friends and family. The textures draw us into the picture and the color shading is beautiful. Keep on making art!!!

I love the use of color in your work---the way you covered the whole page on the left with vibrant colors and especially using color in writing the answers to the questions on the right. This made your art very happy looking !!

Good creativity. Use of circles, lines, bars and color combinations and placement on the subject background makes for an interesting piece of art. Grandpa Chuck
