Hi Claire! This is Grandma Mary! Thank you for sending me a new artwork project you made in the 4th Grade at Hudson Prairie Elementary School. I think this is something you were making with 2 shades of blue yarn. I hope I am right! I am guessing you were weaving with yarn to make a special item to keep! Maybe this is a purse! (When I was a little girl like you, I had a wonderful weaving kit that had many colorful yarns I could choose to make special blankets and towels!) Hi Claire! This is Grandma Mary! Thank you for sending me a new and very interesting picture you painted about Nocturnal Animals. I really like this picture! I think it looks like Ginger, your house cat! I was researching online to understand more facts about Nocturnal Animals. I read that Cats are also Nocturnal Animals. Yes, that is true! The cat is (actually) nocturnal. Wildcats hunt during the night and they sleep in the daytime, including the domestic cats, such as your family's cat, Ginger. We love Ginger so much! Domestic cats are nocturnal but their behavior is simply modified so they sleep during the day when there’s no one around (quiet) and grow active as your house fills with activity exactly like the end of a school day when you get home from school. That is interesting to know! So great you painted this beautiful picture! Please show it to me sometime when I come over to visit you at your house this summer! I love you! Grandma Mary

I would like to guess and tell you what I think your picture is telling me. You will have to let me know if I am guessing right. I see 8 underwater sea creatures (they look like fish) swimming in your picture. I see all of these fish forming a circle around the white light you painted in the middle. The white light can be like a night light for them so they can see underwater. I love the blue colors you picked to display the underwater scene. Do you think your fish are keeping their eyes open or closed? Thank you for giving the fish a night light! I would love to go for a ride on this beautiful pirate ship. It looks very safe. We could go for a ride together! We could swim too! After we put our life jackets on, we could jump into the beautiful water and swim! Maybe we could bring a picnic lunch. Do you think the pirates would like to have lunch with us too?
