I like this one much better than the donut one. I’m not sure what the theme of this drawing was to be. Is it a take off on MarioBrothers video game?
- Grandma K on April 8, 2021

I like the reflections in this one - the angle makes it appear like the banana chips are floating!
- Julie (Mother) on March 9, 2021

The texture is great on this. How did you get them to stay in one place long enough to photograph them? Maybe a more colorful background would have enhanced the picture....made the little loops show up better.
- G+G on February 25, 2021

Well, I can tell this is not from McDonalds. Maybe some colorful lettuce and red tomato slice would have enhanced this photo. It still looks yummy!
- Steve & Susan K. on February 25, 2021

I like the way the light reflects off of the fruit. You can see every little dimple in the oranges.
- Steve & Susan K. on February 25, 2021

I’m not sure what you are trying to convey with this one.
- Steve & Susan K. on February 25, 2021

Wow, I’m surprised you dad did not eat these before you could take the picture.
- Steve & Susan K. on February 25, 2021

This is cool. You made a picture with just pieces of paper. His mouth is a little crooked! Ha. By the way, who is Luke Combs?
- G&G K on February 11, 2021

Yum, yum! It looks good enough to eat! I like the highlights that make it appear light is being reflected from the surface. Is this done with colored pencils?
- G&G K on February 11, 2021
The reflections on this piece really give it dimension!
- Aunt Anna on February 11, 2021

Nice work on the zentangle pattern Jax! I think you might be happier with it if the outline of the hand was a dark line. Love the pattern and how it evolves through the design! Mom
- Julie (Mother) on January 28, 2021
This is pretty cool. You used triangles to form shapes. The lack of triangles to form the other hand is so obvious. I wonder why you chose hands. Those are hands, correct? I like art work that is black and white. It has that contemporary look.
- G&G K on February 11, 2021

I love this quote by Mr. Edison. You will see that philosophy expressed by just about every inventor. Never give up. Believe in yourself even when others do not. Nice selection for this project.

This one has a nice blue hue to it. Looks like you are just about to get a drink! Very creative Love you, Mom
- Julie (Mother) on December 4, 2019

Is this your self-portrait? It captures your likeness well - I like it! Love, Mom
- Julie (Mother) on December 4, 2019

I like how it's clearly detailed in some parts of the image, and out of focus in other parts. That makes it look like stacked bricks or layers of something. Nice work! Love, Mom
- Julie (Mother) on December 4, 2019

Very interesting perspective and angle!
- Julie (Mother) on December 4, 2019

Very interesting! Where did you find the picture? And what did you take the picture with? Looking forward to hearing more about it! Mom
- Julie (Mother) on December 4, 2019

This is the scariest thing I think you have created. It looks like a cross between a sea urchin and a potato. I think it is one of those things that is so unusual it is actually cute.
- G&G K on November 20, 2019
Nicely done Jax - this is a new medium to work with, and what better creation than to make a monster! I like the creative name and how the eyes are moving around and looking in different directions. The mouth makes it seems like the monster is saying something to you!
- Julie (Mother) on November 19, 2019

Oh, wow. I like this one. It is red and white, ISU’s colors. Good mix of the geometric pieces. I particularly like the circle that has been slid apart. I sent comments earlier about the zebra. Those eyes are very penetrating and are looking right at me.love it. Love both of these. Susan and Steve
- G&G K on November 7, 2019
Nice work on these! The color red and grey/greens are appropriate for the fall - like fall leaves and it getting darker earlier in the day. The title word "symphony" makes me think the shapes are dancing to classical music - good job giving a musical impression to the artwork! Love, Mom
- Mom on November 5, 2019

Jackson, This is so cool. I feel as if the zebra is looking right at me. Like it a lot. Gm

I agree with you and like the eyes the best - they are really expressive - nice job on the zebra overall! Love you, Mom

Very nice colors - I like the brightness of the ones you chose and the flow and symmetry of the design. Nice work!

Wow, love the colors. How did you get the corners to look like stripes? I really like how your design makes those little blue corners.

Hey, just saw the new artwork. Does your name start with a “ J”? Nice way to incorporate that initial into the piece. I’ve noticed you have used green in several art pieces. Is that your favorite color?

Love the colors and it certainly looks like a Wildcat is clawing the jar. I guess it is not a vase to hold flowers.....all of those holes would make that difficult. Ha.

I have seen this one upstairs at your house. Kind of dark. Chalk isn’t it? I am reading a book about cells right now and this reminds me of a cell moving. My favorite portion is the blue hatched area. Love the color and variation in lines.

I saw this at your house. I didn’t know you had made it. What color is the glaze before you fire it? I think the variation in color really adds to the piece. Nice work.

I was just looking at all of your art work again. I have missed commenting on several so I am going to do that now. I like my fish cooked on a cedar plank on the grill. Uncle Tom would love it - G&G

Have you been looking out of my California window? These cactus grow there. The one with “arms” is native to Arizona. The Prickly pear “ round ones “ are all over the place. We have little barrel- shaped ones that are getting ready to bloom. Cactus have flowers just like other plants but the blooms do not last very long. Love the new picture. Gma K

I was just wondering. Did you draw the soldier first and then add the overall design? Grandma
- on November 30, 2016
Wow! You must have done this for Vetern's Day. I had to look at it for awhile and then saw the soldier saluting. Nice job. Grandma
