Stella, no matter what, be sure to pursue your creativity in any artistic activity offered at school. It's evident that your teachers excell at preparing you to produce quality work that emerges from your lessons. When you did the symmetry piece, I imagine you had had class discussions about concepts that by making the picture, reinforced your learning process. (It's one of my favorites so far!) I can also see evidence in your recent work, "Sparkle," that there were discussions of ancient cultures and their societies' regard for the sun. Maybe a reference to Icarus, flying too close, and rainbows as associated with the sun? I would love it if you wrote me and told me how you made "Symmetry," and some comments an the Sun God project. -- G'Ma K

Stella, good job! I can see you are experimenting with color, putting the paints next to each other. I especially like how you are using the whole space, making your lines go from one side of the paper all the way to the other side. Try drawing a line around the edge of the paper on all four sides to show you where the whole space is. Love you, G 'Ma K -- G'Ma K
