Meredith, this tunnel interpretation is awesome—brilliantly conceived and colored. Naturally, Poppy and I ordered a 4x4-inch ceramic tile of it. We’re eager to get it, but because of Covid-19 it might be slower than usual getting here. Keep up the good artwork! We love you bunches! Poppy and GranJan

Mere, I love the bright colors in this and I love the pattern you used. It's a little like a spider's web or maybe a (colorful) snowflake! I'm wondering if you did this at home since you've been doing your lessons at home for a while. We sure do miss you and the rest of your family. I love you!

This is a bizarre bit of artwork, Mere. It made Poppy and me laugh. We’ve ordered a 4x4 tile of it. Love it!!! GranJan

Mere, How did you do the shading of the flags? I’m wondering if it’s gray paint. I really like this artwork of yours! Love , Grandma

Mere, We always look forward to seeing your artwork. I can tell that you love purple and you used it in such an interesting way with different shades and values. I hope you will save a few pieces of your artwork to look back on when you’re older. I have a Christmas card I made when I was very young and a story with a picture I made in third grade. You’ve had some great art experiences over the years at Ozona. It was fun seeing your Boston and we look forward to seeing you at Christmas. Love you. Grandma

Mere, I know you made this flower earlier in the year but I never told you how much I like it. Now that spring is here in Kentucky and flowers are starting to bloom, I seem to enjoy this art even more! I love the colors you chose. If I could have only one color of flower in my garden it would be “hot pink “! Keep up the great work in art, math and all your school work and activities. We love you and miss you.

Mere, I absolutely love your Eiffel Tower! I have been there and been to the top. It’s one of the world's most iconic and recognizable structures. You captured it and yet made it your own. I’ll bet you can imagine that a lot of math was involved for this to be built. I’ll bet you know which geometric shape is used over and over to make this so sturdy! I do love it when your school shares the work you and Owie do. We sure do wish we could be there to see you and your school work in person. We love you.

Wow! This seascape is great. It looks very realistic. I love the colors and the whitecaps. I’m sure you had fun creating this work of art.

Oh Meredith, what a beautiful seascape — really magnificent. The whitecapped waves certainly add to the reality. The colorful sailboats show a lot of creativity on your part. I really love this seascape. ????

Dear Mere, I am always glad to see the art work you are doing in school. I find this a very interesting face kind of looking off to the side and would love to know who it is. You chose various shades of blue (and purple) and I'd love to know something about your choice of colors too. I hope to come to Florida at the end of October if everything goes ok. I look forward to seeing YOU and YOUR FAMILY, your school, school work and more art work. Love you!

Oh, wow!! I absolutely love your Chinese dragon! I think you chose beautiful colors which are not just bright but look Chinese. This has great symmetry and it looks like it may be 3-D. How lucky you are to have such great art experiences. Love you

What beautiful and unusual Egyptian Cartouche prints! Grandpa and I love seeing the work that you are doing in school since we live so far away and cannot see you or your work on a regular basis. Your teacher must be teaching you some very interesting things. I don't believe that I knew anything about Egyptian art when I was in 3rd grade or even older grades! We would love it it you sent us a letter telling us more about this artwork and other things you are doing in school. We love you.

For some reason I hadn't seen any of your artwork in 3rd grade. I was so excited to find 3 different pieces today. They are so unique and interesting. I am very anxious to find out what and how you did each one. You are so creative! Just love these and love you!

Dear Meredith, Your cactus picture is absolutely beautiful. Each cactus is so lifelike that I can almost feel their prickliness. The whole picture is so colorful. I especially liked the colorful sky at sunset. When I was in Arizona I stood by huge saguaro cacti (that is the plural for more than one cactus, but I'll bet you knew that). Some were way taller than I am and hundreds of years old. I've grown cacti indoors, but we don't grow them outdoors in Owensboro. Do you have any cacti growing around you? Perhaps you've been studying cacti or the desert. Sure wish we lived closer! Love you.

Wow! You are learning so many interesting things and about so many interesting places. The African necklace is really beautiful with amazing colors. I'll bet you had a wonderful time creating this. I'm anxious to visit you and to hear about your visit to Epcot. I imagine you learned about many different countries and cultures there. Perhaps you even saw African necklaces to inspire your art work. Love from Grandpa and me.

Another fine work of art, Meredith. When I look at your necklace, I can imagine it being worn by an African princess of the past. The colors you chose are vibrant and your design is uniquely expressive. Atta girl, Mere!!!

Oh, my goodness! This is truly a work of art. Beautiful colors and such interesting Ming vases. I love the delicate little flowers in each one. I'm going to share with Grandpa because I know that he will love this piece as I do. Perhaps you'll grow up to be a scientist who enjoys painting for relaxation in your spare time! Love you.

Grandpa and I are so excited every time a new piece of your artwork appears. We love the "stuffed fish". I believe you have been studying what fish look like--or maybe just watching them when you go to the beach. I know you work very hard on each project and must be very proud of the work. I like the fact that this one is 3-D by being stuffed. That makes it even more realistic. Love your art and love you, sweet Mere.

WOW!!! Your pinch pot is very creative. I can tell you worked very hard to make it extra pretty. I really like its shape. The many beautiful colors you chose remind me of hundreds of baby butterflies flitting around and around. You are very talented, Meredith. Thank you for sharing the picture of your clay pinch pot with me. I will show it to my friends—and they will be as impressed with it as Poppy and I are. We love you.

Dear Meredith, We LOVE your beautiful clay pinch pot. The shape is so unique and the many bright paint colors that you chose are perfect! The colors make me think of spring flowers which we hope to have here in Owensboro before long! I love that you are working with clay and firing it to harden it. Sometime when you visit, I'll show you some things that I have made out of clay. Mine aren't as colorful as yours, though! We love you.
