Andrew, your Sonic figures contrast well against each other, with the shapes clear and colors quite different from each other. The pixel mushroom really has the style of a Mario image - if you indeed painted that. To enhance the overall effect, you may want to resize the transformed shape prior to tessellating so more than three fit across.
