I think this is so good. I like the 'boxes' inside the border. Each has it's own identity. But together they create a strong visual effect. Really speaks to me! Love the colors. I like them all but this is a new favorite! Love G'daddy

I always enjoy reading about the inspiration for your artwork. I love the drip effect and I also like knowing it is mixed media. Very lovely design.

The 'Artist's Comments' made viewing this piece quite interesting! Does the silhouette person represent anyone in particular?

I just realized that I haven't written a comment about this picture, which I have always liked - maybe one of my favorites. I'm watching for a bird just like this at our window feeders!

Dear Olive, I really like the bright colors in this picture - and that the rays of hope came out of the heart. What part of creating it did you most enjoy? Positioning the colorful rays (did I see somewhere that you were studying analogous colors)? - centering care, thus hope, in the heart? - or finding the snippets of nature to place between the rays? Your picture conveys a message! Love, Grandma Carolyn

This is a beautiful piece. The message starts in the middle but doesn't stay there. The rays carry the message of hope to a world in need of more hope.

This is beautiful art work Olive. I love the saying (thought), and it is centered in the middle, which makes the entire work so perfect. Nice job!

I really like what you did with the colors. The solid colors on single images is strong. Each thing stands out. The cat, the red (branches) or (flowers), the sun, the music notes, and all the rest all stand out so nicely against the deep yellow background. It's like a story, told in color(s), instead of words. I love it.

I love this picture. It has a really nice earthy and natural feeling. I especially like the background colors (sky blue and white)..

Dear Olive, Interesting picture - only two colors, blue and yellow, in addition to the black and white! Did you compose this around Halloween? (crescent moon and bare tree?) The blue looks like water color, is the tree charcoal? I like it! Grandma Carolyn

Dear Olive, This is another great picture! Is it tempera on blue paper? The sky is such a pretty blue and I think it would be hard to paint it behind all those lovely flowers. I'm sure you get lots of inspiration from all the flowers in your yard. Wouldn't it make a pretty piece of silk - any fabric, really, to make a full skirt with a flower border around the hemline! Dear Olive, This is so much fun! The colors in your pictures that I am looking at are so bright and true! I saw the autumn leaves picture on Grandparents' Day, but I had not seen the winter bird picture until today - and I LOVE it! I can't wait to see your next picture! Love, Grandma
