Hey Ian, good for you for working on faces....I find them hard to do, but really fun. Great idea to divide it up into abstract segments....did it help in drawing the face? Love, Aunt Meg

Really cool, Ian! I love love love the top to the bottle, and how it's floating down into the neck, the colors and patterns on the cork and the line through the cork. It's so much fun to get to see and comment on these. I've been following a really fun nature journalling group on Facebook, just about to photograph something of mine and send it in. It's a lot like on here; everyone gives appreciative and helpful commments. xox Aunt Meg

Really great Ian! The color makes it a whole new piece. I love the dimension! I can't wait to see it "in person"! Love Mom

Ian, You're giving those famous impressionist artists "a run for the money". So to speak. Grandad

Yow, this is really fun! Is that a watercolor wash on the back? It could almost become a zentangle! xo

Hi Ian, Very very cool, and great use of the whole space. It makes me want to lift up the tops of the jars to see what's inside. xoxox Love, Aunt Meg

Ian--I love this-plain lines are wonderful and you have done a great job with this--using the whole space and understanding the roundness of the top of the jars. You are doing really well.

Hi Ian, I love this too! Love the texture, love the way the whole thing looks like it might pop out of the picture any minute, and I especially love the dark blue against all the other paler colors. Aunt Jan is right, it really does pop the painting!

Super nice work, Ian. Can't wait to see more of your work. Your self critique is very good, too.

I love the pastel, Ian. I think that you did a great job with the colors. I like your darker blue piece, it adds some interest/diversity to it, especially because it is counter-balanced by the large blue piece in the right corner. I might have to enlist you into helping me to choose colors on my quilts!
