I love the forward momentum that your athlete suggests. That plus the obvious fact of good balance make both the athlete and the artist. Well done! Gran'Mary -- Gran'Mary

Such clever techniques in your artwork, Charlotte! I hope you are having fun with it. Have you framed any of them or made copies of them that can be made into gifts ( like t-shirts, handbags, gift cards, framed prints, etc.)? I hope you will do that. perhaps you could suggest it to the teacher. -- Grandma Kate

When the small-sized representation of the cat came up on my screen, I immediately thought, "Charlotte's done a picture of Shadow!" Then I saw the enlargement with all of the thoughtful and original detail, and I realized that Shadow probably had nothing to do with your drawing. I am so happy for you that you have such creative assignments and such imaginative teachers. And I am so pleased by your skill! (I'm still looking at this cat. The long, long whiskers and eyebrows and even the long tail still remind me a little bit . . . hmmm . . .) -- Gran'Mary

Charlotte - these are lovely! I remember seeing the originals of the cat, demonstrating the various stippling/shading techniques, as well as the music original, demonstrating all those colors and geometric combinations, but I don't think I've seen this gorgeous still life! I love the balance, the vibrant colors, and the shading/perspective. Very beautiful! Keep up the joy and playfulness of your art! I love you, Mommy -- Mommy
