I love how there is contrast between the sky and the trees, as well as the sky and the ground. I appreciate the ground farther away being darker to give a sense of distance. I also appreciate the texture on the ground to give a look of herbs and vegetation to the viewer. I like the texture in the sky and how light it is to give off a feeling of clouds. Very well done!

I like how different thicknesses of tape were used to add variety. The main subject stands out with its thinner lines and smaller details. The subject feels mysterious in the dark background because of its ambiguous shape and the lines concealing parts of it.

The different variants of blue is very appealing to the eye. The use of bright yellow on the bottom makes it look like a seashore and reminds me of the season summer with the light and bright colors used.

I like the way you twisted the lines and layered all of them above the creature behind it. The creature behind it with thinner lines show that it is farther away. The repeating short and thin lines in the creature makes it look frightening.

The way the tape is placed in the front create a cool visual path down the front of the piece which is nice. I also like the different depth sizes you used for each tape piece rather than keeping one size. The accent colors break up the lines visually and works well.

I like your emphasis on line. The tape being on top of the center piece instead of behind it makes the backround feel more involved while still keeping the original focal point of the artwork. Ima be real, I have no idea what the lil guy is supposed to be but it still looks great.

The bright warm colors create strong contrast against the darker foreground. The organic shapes and bumpy texture add variety to the landscape. The use of light and dark value creates emphasis on the glowing sky.

Though the same texture seems to be present throughout the piece, the blending of the colors across the paper creates a lively rhythm that fosters a beautiful ambiguity for the viewer. The texture adds a tactile richness that makes the piece feel grounded and inviting, almost as if the viewer can step right in. I feel a special warmth when gazing into the middle; the different values of the oranges and yellows compliment each other.

I love the addition of the cross word puzzles to your newspaper background and how you integrated it into your portrait. Also, the white hair pops and adds contrast compared to the neutral background.

This work is really fantastic. I love how you allow the tone of the paper underneath & crossword puzzles become part of the work. The line work adds lovely texture to the hair! You should be proud of your accomplishments!

Nice contrast, shading really brings out the depth of the folds.

The different text/ images used help to give texture to the piece, aswell as avoid making the composition flat

The composition skillfully uses dark shades and highlights to create a strong contrast, powerfully defining the paper's planes and illustrates it’s 3D form realistically.

I like how the newspapers together from afar shows a lot of texture from the paragraphs of words. Especially when there are places where it darkens color and places that aren’t.

This abstract shape is really interesting and I love the different line weights that you used.

The use of line weight is creative and adds a lot of motion to your piece. It also provides a sense of where the light is coming from, with thinner lines implying areas that are lit and thicker lines that communicate shadows.

The contrast between the lines is done well.

Noelle, I like the different types of line weight you experimented with here! The lines move in a fun & unexpected way, great work!
