I like how the different colors blend well together, and the different shades of things go well together.

I love the textures and composition of your collage. Are these mermaid tails? I would love to see your artist's statement.

Great patterns and craftsmanship.

Another great piece. Would thicker oil pastel be able to disguise the dark circle? Or scratching away and then covering it?

Great observations. Watch spelling- I made several changes in your statement. If you want the weeping willow to be the focal point, I agree, that the black is very bold. Perhaps a lighter color for the other trees? Or another piece where you emphasize the weeping willow by placing it more centrally in the composition.

I think that is a great observation that the tree need not lean to the right, and I agree. But the way the brown tree overlaps the evergreen behind it is excellent and as you practice more and get more comfortable with this technique it will become easier. The branching and shapes you used in the variety of trees are excellent.

I love the grafitto and delicacy of the details.

Wow Sid! I loved this wintery scene with the evergreen in the background. Very cool.

Wow Sidney! The cubist-style still life is very impressive. It is very eye-catching when you first view it, and then after looking at it more closely I see more representation of music in it than at first glance. Very impressive!!!

Dear 6th Graders: Very nice work on your warm and cool designs. I think you all demonstrated that you know the warm colors and the cool colors. Can you see your warm colors popping out and the cool colors receding? Where does that effect work best and where does it not work at all? Why do you think?
