Hi Caroline! I like the 3 different types of shading you have used in this still life. Love, Mom

This is called backwards paradise because the opposite colors on the color wheel (complimentary colors) are just that opposites. So in each place it is backwards, opposite.

I liked how I was free to do anything and I thought that a 'c' was far too normal so, to make it mine precisely, I thought I would put my last initial before my first initial and make the first initial smaller than the other. My warm and cool colors varied to any colors I could get my hands on. I really wanted to show how the warm ones popped out and the cool ones receded. I tried to make the cool colors blend where they came together. I really enjoyed this learning experience. It helped me learn the different affect of warm and cool colors.

Dear 6th Graders: Very nice work on your warm and cool designs. I think you all demonstrated that you know the warm colors and the cool colors. Can you see your warm colors popping out and the cool colors receding? Where does that effect work best and where does it not work at all? Why do you think?
