Hi Ryan, I think you really captured a great photo of your dad on your recent skiing trip! The background adds so much to telling the story of a special winter family outing. Since you are the photographer here, I wondered if your dad was watching Lucas skiing? I am glad you are interested in Photography! Grandma Carol

Hi Ryan, I like the way you used so many various sized and shaped objects in this piece of artwork. It shows a lot of action!!! By using the boldness of just two colors with the muted background creates a very interesting piece. I am anxious to see it in person and have you describe the action this piece of art represents. It's very interesting!!! Keep up the great work! Grandma Carol

Hi Ryan, We love "the red, white and blue." You have created a most special representation of it in this piece of art. We are hoping that we will get to this piece in person too! We are so proud of your ability and thrilled that you find such pleasure in your class!

Ryan, You certainly like to tease me! Who wouldn't love this delightful and beautifully made cake? It just makes me smile because it is so tempting that I want to cut another slice in it and see if it tastes as good as it looks! A great job.....I didn't know you even knew how to bake a cake!

Hi Ryan, This piece of artwork is very unusual because you have the background in pastel shades of yellow and pink with the foreground silhouette in black creating a wonderful and curious image that I haven't figured out yet. I would love to see this beautiful piece of artwork in person too.

Hi Ryan, Of course, being born in Chicago, this is one of my very favorites! I believe you have captured the city with its marvelous man-made buildings reaching up and sharing the scene with a sky that is reflecting all the excitement and heavenly beauty that coexists with it. A beautiful painting!

Hi Ryan, This is a very clever idea, and I'm sure you had a lot of fun showing it to people! It's great that you are being exposed to so many different art forms and media in your class. It's great that your teacher opens her students minds to such wonderful ideas.

Hi Ryan, It was a bit hard to view this piece as a pencil holder, so I would like to actually see it. I know it must have been fun to work with ceramics.

WOW, this I love!!! Of course, I love the "R" for Ryan that is imposed on top of some very intricate and complimentary patterns. It's easy to see that your artwork has bumped up to another level, and we are so thrilled that we are able to view it online. You must have a very special art teacher!

Hi Ryan, Very interesting and unusual pattern. I like that the background pattern is as clever as the objects. You did a good job with this.

Hi Ryan, A great "shark" pattern that would look terrific on fabric for boy's shirts! It would go well with denim jeans!!!

Hi Ryan, We certainly appreciate "One point Perspective" because you have done such a good job in creating an interesting view! We especially like the University of Illinois "I" shape on the roof of the top-right building!! By doing this project, you have learned how important it is to have the best perspective on the image you are creating. artwork.

Hi Ryan, We just finished looking at all of your artwork, and you have a very impressive portfolio!!! Grandpa and I spent some quality time enjoying some of your most recent pieces that we hadn't seen before. "One Point Perspective" is especially well done and teaches you to become aware of viewing a scene from different perspectives. Keep up the very good work!

Hi Ryan, I asked Grandpa to look at your latest piece of artwork and figure out whose portrait it was. He said, "this handsome guy looks like Ryan!!!" "That's right," I said, and we both agreed that you are a talented young artist, and we're so happy that you love to draw and paint. We hope you will always appreciate art as you grow older. Thanks you for brightening our day with your wonderful portrait. Love, Grandma

Hi Ryan, Grandpa sure misses all the cardinals he used to feed under the big tree in our back yard on Scott Street. Your wonderful artwork of the cardinal sitting in the tree warmed our hearts and reminded us of how much we enjoyed these beautiful winter friends. Of course, now we're so happy because we can enjoy your artwork on our computer!!! Love, Grandma
