Hi Casey What an interesting picture. I feel as if I could stand on that street corner, and then maybe go to visit the YMCA! It looks like a night drawing with the moon in the sky. I'm wondering if it is a street corner in Nashville? This makes a great addition to your art collection. Cheers from Nana Pam in the Comox Valley

Dearest Casey, Wow! This is such an interesting cityscape. You are really learning about 'perspective'. The drawing makes me feel like I could just walk right up the street and around the corner to do my shopping. Is that a boulangerie with the turquoise door and purple awning? I hope so because I would sure like a croissant! Love, Gamma

Dear Casey, I really like the exciting figure you've sculpted! Is that a Lulu Lemon leotard it's wearing? I'm not sure what kind of character it is. Could you let me know? Love, Gamma

Hi Casey, I love your whimsical, animal-like robot. It definitely looks like a robot I'd like to have around. Using just the two colours makes it very dramatic. See you soon sweetheart. Love, Gamma

Hi Casey my dear, Norma says your mask is fabulous and I agree. I also like the way you have made the two sides of the face very different. We are so lucky to have such a talented artist in the family. I guess your snow is over and you are back to school. It is about time! We are still enjoying sunshine in Palm Springs. Love, Gamma

Half pink and half blue? Love how this mask is so symmetrical - pink cheek on blue face, blue cheek on pink face. Who was your model?? Keep up the great work Casey? How does Ringo like it???

Hi Casey Your weaving looks like fun. Did you choose the colours yourself? It looks a bit like a lovely coloured cobweb! Cheers Nana Pam

Dear Casey, I really like your new 'still life' and I can almost taste the tea in the pot. Your choice of colours is outstanding and I wonder if you made all the choices yourself. You made an interesting choice to deal with the colour of the banana in a yellow bowl. We have just come back from four days in Victoria at Hughie's hockey tournament. We visited Auntie Jean while we were there and she was asking how you were doing in Nashville. We spent a long time looking at the photos in our family Amazing Adventure book together. She sends her love as do Pops and I. Love, Gamma

Hi Casey, I love the look on your face in this drawing. It is just like the determined look you have when you're dribbling the soccer ball down the field, about to score a goal! The title could be "Determination". Love, Gamma

Dear Casey Thank you for sending this image of your latest beautiful painting! Such vibrant colours, and interesting shapes. Are there red birds like this one in your garden in Tennessee? Lots of love from the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island from your Nana Pam

Hi Casey, Your self-portrait for the start of Grade 3 is delightful. I hope you'll do another one for the end of Grade 3 and then you'll be able to see how much you've changed.(I hope you don't change your sunny, funny personality though!) Love, Gamma

Bon Jour Casey, Your meat-eating superhero painting is tres moderne! It reminds me of some of the paintings we will be seeing at the Pompidou Centre in Paris. It's just a couple of blocks from Pop's and Gamma's apartment so we can go there and ride up the crazy outdoor escalator and have a picnic lunch out in the square with very bizzaro fountains. OMG!!! I can hardly wait! Loved your painting. Au revoir, Gamma

Hi Casey, I like the colour combination you chose, but I'm not sure if those are cherries or raspberries around the edge. You know how much I love raspberries! Keep up the good work. Love, Gamma

Wow ! Good enough to eat! Two whole cakes One for you and one for a friend? Are those strawberries on the top? Lots of love Nana Pam

Hey Casey; This is a really good job. It is not easy to get the perspective right with a round cake and a triangle slice out of it. You can use you talent to start drawing pictures of the doll/stuffy clothes you want to sew. Did you eat that piece of cake? Looks yummy!!! Sping is in the air in Vancouver. Daffodils are poking their heads out, still light at dinner time and the little birds are getting fat. How are things in Nashville? Auntie Linda

Hi Casey, This one looks good enough to drink, with the marshmallows at JUST the right stage of melting! We've been checking your Nashville weather on the Internet and this would be the perfect drink for you. Maybe you could set up a hot chocolate stand instead of a lemonade stand and this picture could be on your sign! Love, Gamma

Hi Casey, I'm fascinated by your weaving! I've been trying to figure out how you did it but I just CAN'T. I guess I will have to wait until we're together so you can show me how you did it. I think of you every day and miss you a bushel and a peck! Love, Gamma

Hi Casey Nice colours! Isn't weaving fun? Aunty Amy is learning to use table looms with her L'Arche group in Saskatoon! Maybe she will show you when you visit. Keep up the good work. love from Nana Pam

Hi Casey I really like your choice of colours for this weaving! Did you know that Aunty Amy is going to learn how to table weave with her friends at L'Arche? I saw the looms and the skeins of wool for weaving when I was in Saskatoon. It sure looks like weaving is creative and lots of fun! Will you use yours for a wall hanging? love from Nana Pam

Hi Casey I really enjoyed seeing your art in this new and surprising way ! The pumpkin design and the portrait looked like they were lots of fun to draw and paint. Great colours ! I was able to look at lots of art from your school, sort of like an art gallery. Being your grandmother is the best! lots of love from your Nana Pam in Courtenay on Vancouver Island in Canada
